I've always felt like this song should be blared over loud speakers in downtown cores once a week. I don't care who you are, what kind of music you like... no one can hate this song. Ever. Haha
Well holy shit, I never thought I'd see another Covenant fan on here. I've known Joakim & Eskil for years.
Nice! I've met them both and did an interview with Joakim ages ago (during the Northern Light era). I don't do music journalism any more, but I still love their music!
Who you were writing for? One of the mainstays like Side-Line, Sonic Seducer, etc., or someone else? Just out of curiosity. I can't lie - Covenant started losing me a bit around the Northern Light era when I thought they were getting a little TOO polished and trying to mimic Depeche too much, but there also have been a lot of exceptions since then. For me though, they've never top the DOAC, Sequencer, Europa and maybe even USoM era. But that's just me.
A Polish website, Postindustry. I'm not that keen on Leaving Babylon, though it does have its moments, but I really like Blinding Dark. Modern Ruin is another favorite, I just love stuff like Judge of my Domain and Worlds Collide; the only song off of that album that I'm not that keen on is Lightbringer - I actually prefer the remixes by of off the single. But the old stuff holds a special place in my heart (I started listening to the around the USoM era, so I agree with you on that ).
Just started listening to some old jams from the late 90's. So Sugar day comes up in my mind it's this song.
