Right now? Waiting on my trainee to get back, realizing that the person I put on ignore is an epic poster and reduced a couple threads to gibberish as I saw only responses, showing ignored content, and realizing my initial decision to block him was sound.

Right now I'm sitting at my desk at work thinking about panhandling aliens.
    Let me explain.

I put in a new set of contact lenses this morning and they've been irritating my eyes all morning. I work in a downtown area with a Target a couple of blocks away so I took a quick walk to get some eye drops. Halfway there I was stopped by a panhandler who said, "Excuse me sir I'm wondering if you can help me get back to my home planet." Now, panhandlers on the street are very common here and I've heard silly stories from them before (one claimed his family was killed by ninjas and he needed money for karate lessons, one simply held a sign that said 'need beer money'), but this one really threw me off my stride. I apologized to 'the alien' and said that I had to get back to work and carried on my way to Target, but I was so distracted by my thoughts of the panhandler (in an amused way, not in a 'was he really an alien?' way) that I totally forgot what I had gone to Target for. So I went back to work. The precise second I sat down in front of my computer my brain snapped out of it and said, "Oh hey, remember those eye drops?". Thanks, brain.

I'll be honest: I initially didn't give a crap about it- because it's Bumblebee, and I pretty much only care about Prime and Megs, so Bumblebee....meh...- but after seeing the trailer: SUPER excited!

I LOVE the new robot design, I feel like it's the direction that should've been taken since the original Bayverse movie- but that's not to say there aren't some Bayverse designs I didn't love (Lockdown, Ironhide, and TLK Megatron- being some my top favorites)- I just like the thicker, more filled out look they've given Bumblebee this time- it makes him look tougher IMO.

Here's what I'm a tad confused with though: Is this Bumblebee movie a total reboot or prequel to the Bayverse?

I hope it's a total reboot, because I would LOVE to see Optimus Prime reintroduced with this new robot design direction they've taken- and another good thing: Based on how Bumblebee looks this time, I have a feeling his on-screen design will translate really well into a toy, so I think this Bumblebee Movie toy line will be super awesome. ^_^

I was sooooo against this when I first heard about it, but now I couldn't be more pumped up for it- it looks great. ^_^

It's been confirmed to be a prequel. They made the decision to reboot the universe after Bumblebee was well into filming.
I agree about Optimus, although I do suspect that he will have a cameo in the film complete with a redesigned look. I mean, is Hasbro really going to pass up the chance to sell us another new Optimus toy? ;)

Maybe this is a dumb question, but how do you reboot a franchise with a prequel?

Because if it's a prequel, then that means it eventually has to link up with the original films- which means it's still part of that original story- which means they have a limited amount of room to fiddle around with the plot.

I thought the term reboot meant starting completely 100% over from scratch- everything from the previous films gets erased/none of it ever happened.

They aren’t rebooting with the prequel, the reboot happens with the next film.

Ahhhh so this Bumblebee movie is the prequel to an entirely new set of upcoming Transformers films (considering it does well enough to justify making them- although I don't really see that being an issue).

Now I'm twice as excited, because that means we'll eventually see a new Optimus and Megatron- and based on the direction they've taken with Bumblebee...it's gonna have some G1 design thrown into it. Friggin badass. ^_^

No. It’s a prequel to the Bay films. The next film is where the reboot happens. Think of Bumblebee as the last of the Bay universe.

Maybe I haven't had enough coffee this morning, cuz I'm still having a tough time getting this.

How could a prequel to the Bay films be the end of the Bayverse? Are you talking about Bay no-longer directing them, and the designs changing, etc- that kind of stuff?

So you're saying that this Bumblebee movie will be the end of the Bayverse films- and then the following film with be a 100% restart. New story, new characters, new designs, new director, new producer- everything new.

They just want to cap off the Bayverse before pressing the Total Reset button.

Bumblebee is the final movie to be set in the Bayverse. It's probably confusing because it looks different, feels different, isn't directed by Bay and takes place in a different time. Furthering the confusion is that Hasbro/Paramount seems to be looking at the Bumblebee movie as a 'kind of' reboot. It's kind of rebooting the movie franchise but it's not rebooting the established Bay universe.

One thing is for sure, it's definitely a movie. :D

    You know what's also cool?

Hasbro getting their hands on Power Rangers, and announcing they plan to make more movies. ^_^

I just hope we finally get some decently articulated Megazords.

Come on Hasbro, Come on, I know you can do it.... (crosses fingers)

Sweet, I have been watching it for a little while now while using the stairclimber. Up to S6 now. Never watched it when it originally aired, but it is better than I thought it would be.

Just helped my dad get in his bed, I told him to yell for me if he needs me for anything.

I'm in my bed about to watch some count down of stuff like top 5 Hercules movies or top 10 creepiest moments in family-friendy video games. (It has been almost 22 years and that damn piano in Super Mario 64 still make me jump)

Watching American Ninja Warrior purely for the Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom segments. That said my back is killing me just watching these folks.
The stories from those competitors who have recently lost parents are killing me. My mom passed away five years ago and it still feels fresh.

Looking for something to break the boredom while listening to this.
There is really something weird with this piano. It still haunts me even when I know that it's about to attack. This piano is a demonic hellspawn, I'm telling ya!
