How likely does it seem that we'll see the remolded MP Starscream (with the coronation gear) released in the US in the next year or so? Every MP figure other than Megatron has been released here so far, so it seems like it should happen, but I don't recall hearing anything from Hasbro about whether or not it would happen.

Well TC is a release of the mold without the coronation set. As for a full Starscream release i would not bet on it.

The chances of this are like predicting the weather, we could tell you something, but you'll never really until it happens.

Personally, I'd rather Hasbro/TRU release two seekers at time. Release Starscream and Sunstorm together; two of each in a case of four. It'll never happen cause it makes sense.

before MP TC came out and was the new mold i would have given new mold mp SS a 50/50 chance of seeing a US release sans coronation gear.

Now i would not give it more than a 10% chance.

with coronation gear zero chance save as a SDCC exclusive or maybe through the OTFCC. but even then its not very likely.

Eh, Starscream still has HUGE nostalgia associated with him, arguably more than Megatron. Considering seekers see a greater release date difference (original SS in 07, Skywarp in 09, TC in 12) I could see him popping back up in the next couple years, probably as a counter to an Autobot MP release.

    Smart man right here.

I think there is a fair chance, simply because Starscream is the most iconic Decepticon we're gonna get released in the U.S. (G1 Megs won't happen obviously). The mold is there. I know TC isn't selling so well, but I think that is an issue of too much supply for a 2nd tier character. Surely Hasbro realizes this. Right? . . . Right?

TC will move. The first few weeks he was flying (heh) off of shelves. Also keep in mind DRU does not clearance and even with rodimus moving slow he was not on the shelves for to terribly long.

I don't dont think he will be here. If they were wanting him here they would have instead of TC

I don't know. MP Skywarp eventually went on clearance. Rodimus (as much as it pains me to say it) is a reasonably popular character. He was a major good guy. Thundercracker was essentially a grunt, even if he was one of the few, original Decepticons. I think it takes a harder core TF collector to pick up TC than Rodimus.

The reason for Thundercracker seemed to be because Hasbro had already done an MP Starscream and Skywarp in the U.S. This rounds out the trio, even if it is a different mold.

Skywarp went on clearance at walmart and after like a month to. TRU is only a toy store so they dont clearance stuff the way walmart or target do. Also for TC there are plenty of collectors that have been waiting for an affordable release to finish the main trio of seekers. So far TRU has had no issues moving the MPs they have gotten so i do not think TC will be an issue for them to move .

Sadly I think there are only a few characters that can garner enough interest in the US to justify a wide release and have it be successful. Starscream is one of them. Thundercracker and Skywarp are not. MP Optimus seems to be in high demand as you'd expect. I think that a MP Soundwave will be a huge success if it happens.

While Skywarp went on clearance, Starscream was nearly impossible to find at retail so who knows.

Thundercracker was flying off the shelves and now appears to be shelf warming in many areas.

It's anybody's guess. Personally, as much as I love Screamer, I would prefer an MP-11 Skywarp first.
