Just wondering since Walmart lately they have the Season 1 and 2 DVD collection pretty cheap along with Seasons 3 and 4.

Seasons 3 and 4 I missed out alot when they came on tv or not after the animated movie.

Any good episodes to watch that are important or whatever?

 

Season 4 was only 3 episode and 1 story long.

Season 3 had a number of well written episodes.off the top of my head, "the burden hardest to bear, web world, the return of optimus prime pt 1&2

 

Ugh, Webworld. Well, I mean to each his own. Personally, I can't stand that episode. But if others enjoy it, that's cool. There's probably people who don't like some of the episodes that I like. I would recommend "Dweller In The Depths," I just happened to watch that one recently. "Only Human" featured a pretty cool crossover cameo. "Dark Awakening" is another one of my favorites. It's a shame that the ending of the episode doesn't end up being the final say in the matter.

 

Call of the Primitives... if for no other reason than the animation.

 

there are quite a few. carnage in c minor was interesting becuase it featured sound wave actually expressing some emotion in reguard to the music he heard, meaning he has some personality. and the concept on sonic weapons too. the ghost in the machine episode, where starscream works for unicron to get him new eyes and a body.

 

IMO, the best to watch in season 3 is "The Return of Optimus Prime". As far as season for, the entire season is "The Rebirth". It's a bit wanting. Watch the Japanese Headmasters instead.

Also on the topic of webworld, I love it for the fact that it was a decepticon centric episode.

 

The one where Cyclonus sends Galvatron to that psychiatrist planet. One of the best episodes of G1, hands down.

Is it a coincidence that it was also the most Decepticon focused episode?

 

I'm surprised that people like that episode so much. I find it annoying. Like I said though, there's probably people who don't like some of the episodes that I had mentioned.

 

IMO, almost all of season 3 is awesome, and it remains my favorite season. It's been a few years since I've watched any of it, but I remember the season opener (Five Faces of Darkness) being pretty good. Also, "Starscream's Ghost."

Please do yourself a favor, though, and don't watch season 4. At all.

 

Yeah...I like to pretend season 4 doesn't exist at all. I don't like the idea of headmasters at all (though Targetmasters are ok, and Animated did the concept decently)

I also hate how Optimus Prime comes back and Rodimus suddenly stops being the leader. Only good thing about it was Punch/Counterpunch.

 

I'm just going to say "Ultimate Weapon" just because its one of the better animated episodes and its not on anyone else's list. The story is okay though everybody probably hated how Rodimus just kept self-doubting himself.

 

I very much agree,after the Five Faces of Darkness five parter is where Rodimus started to get better as a leader and after re-watching "The Ultimate Weapon",I liked him more than before but bringing Optimus back is now pointless to me and I'm ok with "The Rebirth" but I've only watched all three parts once since it got boring after what was practically a 20 second commercial for Six-Shot.
