2099 was a Marvel subline from the mid- to late-90s. It was a series of books set in the year 2099 featuring futuristic versions of Marvel heroes, villains, and teams. I don't know much more about it, as I've really only ever read one 2099 issue. i do know there was a Punisher 2099, though, and apparently it was hella 90s.

There was a Spider-Man 2099, Punisher 2099, Doom 2099, X-men 2099 and Ravage 2099, which was a new character created and written by Stan Lee. I believe there were more offshoots, but those are the main ones I remember.

I think they've all been covered except for X-Nation 2099...really good. Early art by Humberto Ramos...

Doom 2099 was my favorite of the lot. You take Victor von Doom, get rid of Reed Richards, and have a genius willing to do good for the world since he doesn't feel a need to prove himself anymore.

Spidey wasn't too bad either, and probably one of the better aspects of that latest game they released recently.

Bingo! But you missed the 2099 A.D., Apocalypse, and Genesis one shots.

I liked Spiderman and Punisher the best. Spidey was written by Peter David and was excellent pretty much the entire run. Punisher was great fod the first 25 issues then went downhill until they did the A.D. story where he was an agent of SHIELD. I also have 3 original pages from the Punisher series.
