Hey all, Seeing as how Hasbro always does off-screen character figures like Incinerator for the first movie,Stratosphere for ROTF,and so forth,what do you think they will make for AOE.Oh and has it been confirmed or not that Slog and Snarl are actually in the movie since it would help to be sure. Oh and as for AOE Voyager Drift I don't really count that as new since he is a repaint and head swap figure,but anything besides him?.
highly doubtful. and wasn't there a thread similar to this recently? they have too much on their plate as it is. we still haven't seen stinger (maybe tomorrow during the panel) and any slots for new mold voyagers should go to lockdown, slug, and scorn.. since they're all in dire need of an upgrade. (though i'm 100% certain that'll NEVER happen) this line won't last very long. they've used their budget on too much kiddie stuff to have the ability to push this line longer than 3 or 4 waves. also it looks like they're just going to repaint the hell out of the molds they have. lastly, i think if snarl and slog are in the movie, they'll be in it during the dinobots origin part of the movie and no where else.
I seriously doubt we'll see off-screen characters, now that the line is part of the Generations line. I mean, when is the last time in that line we got a character who wasn't in a comic or tv show or movie?
I agree! So I'm hoping we'll have a subtile mix next year of Movie/Generations and this mew Prime cartoon(Which I'll be skipping.) So that way in 2016 we can movie toys again and the fun meger ended like on ROTF-DoTM!
I do NOT expect to see anything off screen bar someone getting cut/edited out of the film film (as what happened with TF07 Arcee and Wreckage, or the Twins in Dark of the Moon, or pretty much Jolt entirely). Might see some offscreen repaints of existing characters, though. I'm also not expecting the movie line to continue past Christmas either.
The trouble with Stinger is his transformation: his molecules essentially float around until he gets to robot or Pagani mode. So, how would that work in toy form?
If we do get them, I hope they're decepticons, the line needs them. Also, we don't know if all the Dinobots with toys will be in the film, so technically, one of them might be toy-only.
From others' observations, I doubt off-screen figures will be made but repaints and remolds might not be out of the question. We did get repaints of the Fall of Cybertron Combaticons in the Generations line, after all.
I really wish they would make a AOE Bluestreak since they have done most of the G1 Season 1 Cast for the movies namely: Optimus Prime Bumblebee Wheeljack (or as he's called Que) Sideswipe Hound Jazz Ironhide (tho I think was a mixture of both Ironhide and Trailbreaker) Ratchet Cliffjumper (repaint of Bee) Brawn Megatron Starscream Soundwave Laserbeak Ravage Skywarp The ones who haven't gotten a release are Huffer,Buzzsaw,Windcharger,Mirage,Prowl,Bluestreak,Rumble,Frenzy,and Thundercracker.So I think before the end of the six movies they should give us fans the complete 1984 Cast in figure form.
It'd be nice if we got some offscreen toys. I dug the ones from the movie trilogy. Incinerator, Space Case and more. Dirge and Thrust from HFTD/ROTF were excellent IMO. I also dug Stratosphere. Both HA and deluxe DOTM Soundwave, the canceled Wheeljack with G1-esque head and deluxe Leadfoot would be cool to see.
I still think a Hound to Onslaught repaint is something that should be in order. The chest, build and armaments kind of scream Onslaught to me.
