I wanted something stupid to watch so I chose Busou Shoujo Machiavellianism.
Well the final episode of Super Cub is here, and it really incapsulated what it means to be an iyashikei series.
One long, scenic trip (4 days for just the way there!) with tons of varying scenery. The girls get the chance to just ride their bikes over new roads, visit some cool stores and rest stops, take in the sights, and ultimately reach the very edge of Japan to seize their Spring.
And of course:
Shii finally gets her own super Cub. I honestly started to think she wouldn’t get one as the episode progressed, but she thankfully got to ring in her Spring with the symbol that brought her, Reiko, and Koguma together.
A minor moment, but I also really liked that Koguma pushed to travel a specific route so that Shii could check out some tea shops and cafes as inspiration for her Italian cafe at home. It shows that whatever uneasiness Koguma felt towards Shii (from her always passing her on her bike before Koguma gets her Cub) has definitively faded.
I’d adore a second season if we ever get one; we could even see the girls go to that Cub convention over the Summer! I don’t know how likely that’ll be, but I’ll hold out hope for a return to these locations, to these characters, and to their Cubs.
I just adore Super Cub. The scenery while they travel really reminded me when our family went on long car trips to the province where my grandparents lived. Lots of trees, buildings, and all sorts of stuff...it oddly felt nostalgic, watching the anime.
I'm about to start watching Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon.
'So I'm a Spider, So What?' Anime Delays Episode 24 Due to Production Issues
that is rather disappointing.
Oh yay ANOTHER all human focused episode of So I'm a Spider, So What? that could have been a hell of a lot shorter if they didn't decide to drag things out with needless filler. Seriously first episode I only paid half attention to and I didn't even miss any of the important plot points.
Welp time to switch to Killing Slimes.........Max Levels, because good lord Spider left me in an insanely foul mood.
Agreed, I liked it too. It's a fun watch if you know what to expect from it.
Personally this season I watched How not to summon a demon lord, Dai no daiboken and I started Nagatoro. I'll probably also start The romcom where the childhood friend won't lose and I shaved, since I expect them to go further than what I read from the manga. Maybe also Dynazenon since I liked Gridman.
For the next season I'm looking forward to Spirit chronicles, Realist hero and Kanojo mo kanojo. I read the source material for all these series and I really appreciate them.
Where are you guys watching Dynazenon? It’s not showing up on Crunchyroll for me.
Funimation Schedule Updates
It's streaming on Funimation.
I finished Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha A's last night. I love the 2nd season more than the 1st. I also finished Non Biyori Repeat. I love how Komari is so scared of the Musasabi (Flying Squirrel). Now on to the movie.
Stayed up until 6 am just to see this live, and it was worth it.
Let's fucking goooooooooo!!!!!!!! Oh, man, I'm so stoked, it looks incredible!
Been antsy all week in anticipation of the trailer. It did not disappoint one bit.
And what is it?
I watched the Non Non Biyori movie and it was just so good. It really is calming.
Chainsaw Man, AKA the greatest story ever told.
Imagine, if you will, dropping acid and watching a series or movie that you found incredibly emotionally engaging, one that sent you through a rollercoaster of emotions, while simultaneously watching the goriest horror movie ever, and listening to the most chaotic grindcore and industrial music at maximum volume.
That's kind of what Chainsaw Man is like, and now it's getting an anime. The manga is incredible (there's a part two starting in the near future as well), I've never read or watched anything quite like it.
Just watched the demonslayer movie..very by the book honestly
Isn't that what it is supposed to be though?
So there's no ending to the manga yet?
Since it's horror based, my wife will definitely want to check it out.
Eh... like it was fairly predictable story wise.
