Strike Witches Road to Berlin episode 7 was ridiculous as usual. I miss Sakamoto-san.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters in sub. Love watching all the content that was cut from the dub and all the stuff that made more sense. Just geezus!

Muse Asia is starting to put out the Kenichi's Mightiest disciple OVA eps. I've seen the OG anime a long time ago so seeing these characters again feels nice

:lol  The funny thing is the anime feels like 4Kids made it when compared to the manga. :lol

I will say this though, the music is friggin badass and is ultimately what saves a lot of the duels that have been needlessly dragged out.

The only thing I don't like about the sub is the music. The dubbed had waaaay cooler and more intense music, thus the only good thing about the dub. XD

Yeah, that seems dumb to be showing a movie in a month where 90% of the theaters are closed.

RIP MOrrow. Another Cyclops voice actor has died this year.

Rewatching Evangelion. Currently through episode 21. Man, it's been a long time. Prompted me to finally pick up the 3.33 movie as well (I've had the other two for years). I'll (re)watch the movies once I finish the series.

I was also reminded of "Shinji's rant", which I believe that Spike Spencer, Shinji's English dub actor (pre-Netflix) ad-libbed for fun. Adding spoiler tags just in case:

Luckily it's also on my DVD set. Incidentally, I didn't realize that my set was apparently the last ADV release of the series (Platinum Collection Holiday Edition). Kind of surprised that not only I've had it for almost a full 12 years, but also that it's been that long since an English release. Though supposedly there will be a new one next year (no word on the dub, though, to my knowledge).

That's up to Khara. My guess it's going to be the re-dub if they went so far to do it instead of keeping the old ADV/Manga Entertainment dubs.

One of my favorites to watch. Tsubame Gaishi. Also, that Orchesta moment, oof.

Project can mean a myriad of things, with how things are going in 2020, I expect a life-sized Knightmare to be shown

Finished rewatching the Evangelion TV series, 1.11, 2.22, and watching 3.33 for the first time.

The TV series ending is... pretty much exactly as underwhelming to me as I remember. I remember calling it something like "a bunch of double-talk and tautology" a long time ago and I essentially stand by that sentiment now. Much ado about nothing.

The first two reboot/rebirth/rebuild movies I think I generally like more than the equivalent parts of the TV series. And I liked where the ending of 2.22 went.

On the other hand, I really couldn't get that into 3.33. Like there was a lot I did enjoy, but that kind of "sky pirates" thing they did with much of the cast felt like it was just something pulled out of another show and/or other Gainax franchises. I think I would have liked it more if it was more grounded, which I mean in the literal sense. Or maybe just stayed at sea. Not to mention a lot of the new characters seemed kind of wasted. Like they were supposed to have more screen time or maybe were supposed to have shown up in some intermediary media.
