Re:Zero Anime Gets 3rd Season

We watched Lupin III The First and not only is it one of the best Lupin stories I have watched thus far, but it is hands down the best looking CGI anime ever!! It's like they actually cared about the final product and put their best efforts into it. The transition from 2D to 3D was superb and it worked so well with the Lupin designs. The story was equally engaging while being extremely well paced. The people behind this tale were clearly fans because they wanted to give us something that truly felt like Lupin.

 

I finished the That Time I reincarnated as a slime movie and it was good.

 

Stayed up late and binged the entire(minus EP12) MS Gundam the Witch from Mercury. Hooo boy twas quite entertaining to say the least. CG usually worries me with mech shows but aside from that odd sequence here or there it was pretty well done. Do quite like the mecha designs a lot. Peil gives me 00 Flag vibes with their more lithe mech design, where as Jeturk is more beefy like a Dom mixed with something I can't quite put my finger on. Suletta herself I find rather relatable in all her awkward glory. I really love the attention to detail with all her many MANY facial expressions during those awkward moments.

Man it's been ages since I've binged that many episodes at once. Reminds me of back in the day trying to watch Keroro Gunso on youtube all those moons ago. Ah good times, now to wait and see if GundamInfo shows episode 12 at some point in the future.

 

Finished three episodes of The Ancient Magus' Bride. Not bad so far.

 

Campfire Cooking is over and I really liked it. Sui is the best slime of the season.

 

Dammit, and those final four aren't on Crunchyroll.

In the meantime, since my order of Attack on Titan Final Season Pt. 2 hasn't arrived yet, I'm rewatching Blue Submarine No. 6.

 

I am almost done with the 1st season of Aa, Megami-sama.

I need advice of what I should watch next. I need a good comedy.

Licensing and distribution of OVA episodes can get weird sometimes, occasionally falling through the cracks in the case of older series.

 

I started Midori no hibi and the jury is still out.

 

Yep Funi has them. Funimation

CR has plenty of OVA so they may license it eventually but there's really no rush for them.

 

I finished Shinka no Mi season 2. It was awful. Time for the new season. I can't wait for Smartphone s2 and Tonikaku Kawaii s2 to begin.

 

This Week in Anime - Can Makoto Shinkai Only Make One Movie?

If a director works consistently great sticking to one theme, then that's not really a problem in my view, though it could count as a fairly valid criticism.

 

Cardfight vanguard willdress - ended today, I really liked the show, although part of my enjoyment was definitely because I also collect the cards and they use the anime to reveal new tradings cards for me to buy!

Buddy Daddies - the surprise for me this season, I only watched it at first because haha, its spy x family, but I ended up enjoying it a lot. I love the characters and the action scenes were really cool too.

 

Is This a Zombie? - This was okay, though the episodes typically dragged a bit. Doesn’t have an ending, and not much of an acceptable “stopping point” either. A lot of the characters are just too mean to be likable, notably Sera and Haruna. I guess Yuki was the one I liked the most.

The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten - A cute little romance, nothing too dramatic or serious in it. It might not stand out the most compared to other romance anime, but it’s an enjoyable enough watch if you have the time for it.

Play It Cool, Guys - Effectively 8 minute episodes here, focusing on a group of aloof guys who play off their awkward mistakes in ways that still come off as cool or endearing. It’s fine for what it is, but not terribly remarkable either.

 

I started My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999. It was an ok 1st episode.
