Kancolle was made with the purpose of painting what happened to Imperial Japan as an unjustified tragedy they were undeserving of, which couldn’t be further from the truth considering Imperial Japan was responsible for the murder of over 10 million innocent civilians.


Tanya the Evil does not paint Germany in a positive light. Tanya is horrible and the show owns it. Kancolle makes Japan out to be a victim by portraying it’s characters as cute and innocent as to portray them as victims of an “imperialistic US aliens”. The creator of the series once stated that Kancolle was supposed to be about “the tragedy of the Japanese Navy” because thats how they view it. It’s revisionistic with a country responsible for it’s own genocidal campaign.

If it was a one off, I wouldn’t say anything, but the viewpoint of Japan being a victim in WWII is unfortunetly shared by a lot of people and had been long before this show, which is why I take a problem with it. That and some if it’s creators commemts.

 

Danmachi has been spectacular this season.

I’m really looking forward to the adaption of the Azur Lane: Queen’s Orders manga, but I was distrought upon learning it’s a standalone OVA and not a full series like Slow Ahead!


I fucking love Queen Elizabeth and the whole QE Class(although not as much as Nagato.)

 

My Hero Academia, finally got caught up with the last two episodes.

Damn Gyges and Briareus were too awesome to be in only one scene.


The status quo shakeup is very interesting too.

Handyman Saitou is such a fun series to watch.

Maou Gakuin. Anos and crew are as crazy as ever. I am still not used the new voice.

 

Just finished Edens Zero. Looking forward to the new episodes.

With that, can't wait for Fairy Tail to come back too.

 

100 Year Quest is definitely one that made the shippers happy.

Rewatching Hellsing Ultimate. It's better than tge first series but the first series had a better soundtrack.

 

I finished Kannagi: Crazy Shrine Maidens yesterday, and had a pretty good time with it overall. I guess you could call this a forgotten series from 2008, one that never got a second season despite the show apparently only adapting like a quarter of the source material. While this does result in the main plot and primary mystery surrounding Nagi not being resolved, you’re probably watching this for the comedy first and foremost. The show isn’t the most focused on its plot anyway (really just the beginning and end actually deal with it), so you may not be that bothered about it not being all tied-up by the end. As a slice of life comedy with some fairly mild romance, it entertained me. I would’ve liked another season, but after 14 years you certainly can’t hold your breath. Especially since this isn’t the most popular thing out there.

 

IIRC, this series ran into development troubles on the backend due to some drama with the mangaka. Victim of severe bullying, maybe? Something like that, anyhow.

One bit that definitely dates the series is one visual joke where running karaoke gags intersect, and the cast of Lucky Star cameos (at least, the tops of their heads do).

 

I remember liking it back when I watched it in 2014 or so, was definitely entertaining but if I were to watch it now I'd probably be dying to know what happens next.

Eminence of Shadow almost done, today's episode is Cid being oh so incredibly extra stealing the piano, bringing it into the sewers and releasing a bunch of feathers for that Jitsuryokusha feeling.
I love the Kage-Jitsu specials, it's basically a showcase for Delta 90% of the time. They timed it perfectly with the game's event "Natural vs. Artificial: Chocolatier!" that started today

 

I finished Bocchi the Rock last night and it was great. 8.5/10

 

I already know it gets better, and the Monday's ep was great but the first few….

 

I started Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! and it was pretty good.
