Maybe that's why I couldn't get into it. Bocchi ended up being moderately annoying to me and her whole shtick freaking out whenever she found herself dealing with anyone grew old by, idk, 3rd episode? Music was alright though...it's no Ya Boy Kongming.

Way of the HouseHusband looks like it just got a 5 episode season 2, and it looks like the new season starts next week

Yeah I feel it either grabs you by the first episode or it doesn't, and it clicked with me very well.

Muse Asia uploaded the various bang dream movies so I decided to watch them, seen the first Film Live (which is an animated concert, literally what it says on the tin) and the Popipa movie.

The missus and I marathoned Chainsaw Man all in one night the other day. Was pretty entertaining and we enjoyed the fight choreography. I really liked the character quirks with Denji and Power learning how to human, and Aki learning to trust others and becoming more of a team.

My wife was less taken with the series but I know it's a slow burn overall with the first arc, and the 2nd arc being teased at the very end. I really enjoyed how every episode's ending had a different song and animation (very ambitious of MAPPA), and really liked Maximum the Hormone's entry especially since it's very fitting for a chaotic series like CSM.

It helps that I saw Maximum the Hormone in concert at Viva La Rock 2022 in Saitama, and they were awesome. They played all of their greatest hits (to include all their stuff from Death Note) and were just fantastic to see live. (By contrast, I was disappointed that SiM did not play The Rumbling when they were performing at the very same concert.)

    Looking forward to season 2!

Raven of the Inner Palace - I really liked this one. It’s mostly episodic with the characters dealing with ghosts and spirits in a fictional ancient(?) China. We learn more about the titular raven Shouxue and why her position was established. The supporting cast work well together, and I’d love to see a second season explore the characters and new threat that’s introduced towards the end further.

More Than a Married Couple, But Not Lovers - The premise will probably tell you immediately if this’ll appeal to you or not, but I will say that it’s not as “trashy” as you’d expect. There are a lot of genuinely sweet moments here, even if there are also some eye-rolling ones. There isn’t a resolution to everything (and apparently the ending has anime-original elements to it, so who knows if a second season will happen), but there is more to this show than what the premise suggests. Yes, it’s the kind of show that you’d probably adore if you were 14 (and the whole “students doing a marriage practical” sounds like a concept a 14 year old would dream of), but that doesn’t mean it can’t still be enjoyed as an adult.

I started Farming Life in Another World and it was rather fun. Big thing for me is Abe-san is the lead.

I'm really liking "The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess" so far. "The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague" is also cute. I'm looking forward to "Reborn to Master the Blade" next week (the light novels are kinda tedious, but the meathead of a main character is goofy enough to stick around).

I enjoyed them too. I haven't read the light novel for the 3rd one. But I am looking forward to the anime and reading the novels.

That one is okay at first. IDK how far it'll get but I remember dropping the manga because it stopped being just a SoL Isekai to a more fantasy like.

Ice Guy is fun. Reminds of Watakoi but with Yokai instead of otakus. Fox Girl my favorite so far though
Same here with Reborn to Master the Blade, but I am a manga only reader and absolutely loved how Inglis is lol

The Last Summoner - Apparently an old Chinese anime that is just now getting a Japanese Dub. Liked the 1st episode, easy to tell it was Chinese thanks to all the other donghua I have watched before
Endo and Kobayashi Live! - NOT an Isekai! interesting twist to the series and looking forward to how Sieg will do with Liese & Fiene.

Iceblade Sorcerer - Remember reading this and liking it to a certain point where it just got kinda pointlessly convoluted.

Tomo-Chan - Like it. Looking forward to Tomo K.O. Jun some more & Gundo messing with the both of them.

Giant Beasts of Ars - Neat monster slaying fantasy. Give Kumi another hat

Sugar Apple Fairy Tale - I'm watching it. Why are there so many Shoujo series?

Buddy Daddies - Motorcycle/Car chase first few minutes in and THEY SHOOT THE TIRES FOR ONCE. I'm on board. Haven't even finished watching it.

Can't believe Misfit of Demon Academy got a 2nd season, but it shot right out the gates with their 1st episode.
