That was weird, hearing the instrumentals for the original US Pokemon theme in a JP promotional video.

 

Many notice the girl has ashs logo and his hair color making some think she is ashs daughter!

If true than we are getting a naruto like timejump!

For ash leaving this explains why this season was bringing back a bunch of the old characters like gary and dawn meeting ash again and why they had the big plot point they just did if ash is leaving.

What i want to know. If that girl is ashs daughter or a fan of his will she get pickachu passed to her by ash? Will they dump the main pokemon in the Francise in the show or pass him on to her?

Will we get a new team rocket or is team rocket done also? Will oak get replaced if it's a timejump? Who did ash marry? So many questions!

 

A Couple of Cuckoos has been great.

 

The venus wars. I had not watched this in at least 10 years. This old dvd is 20 years old and it shows. It was re-released recently and the quality was so much better.

The 4th season of Encouragement of Climb came to an end today, and I’m kinda struggling to process it lol. Not just because it was a moment built up to since the second season, but because I fear this could be the last we’ll see of the series.

Aoi finally did it, she made it to the top of Fuji. Despite her getting a headache again like last time, her mild altitude sickness couldn’t keep her down. It’s such a gratifying moment to see her watch the sunrise, and achieve what she failed to back in season 2. The episode itself is phenomenal, visually and emotionally. It’s everything you could want this massive moment in the story to be.

That being said, I never imagined this season would get to the second Fuji climb. It really blitzed through things to get here, and that had me worried. I had expected the season to reach March/April ish (based on how much time progressed in the prior seasons), not July. And they got there by jumping over a lot of time, as episode 10 does take place in the end of March/beginning of April, only for 11 to jump all the way to June and then July by the end. It was unexpected, and I wish that time had been explored.

Especially since the source material apparently did cover that time frame, but the anime skipped through things so it could end with the Fuji climb. Why do that, besides it being a good moment to end a season on? Why not wait until season 5?

Well, given that we get a quick montage of future events at the end of this episode, I’m fearful that this was done so that they could end the show at a good “stopping point”. This is despite the fact that the source material is still going, so there’s no reason they need to stop here. So I have to wonder: is this the end? Did 8bit get tired of making this every so often? Who knows?

I’m honestly more concerned about this possibly being the end rather than appreciating the strength of this episode on its own, and I hate that. Because it’s such a fantastic episode and season overall, and I should be focusing on that rather than whether there will be more or not. Maybe I’m just destined to dread over every iyashikei possibly ending before their time.
