Started watching Dropkick on My Devil. This show is weird. And weirdly violent. And sometimes weirdly gross. Also, it doesn't really have much of a setup. Just a quick explanation of familiars (presumably why Jashin is in the human world) and then drops in with most of the cast having a meal/party.

In addition to keeping up with MHA season 6 (only the Japanese version at the moment, but I’ll check the English dub for it at a certain point), Spy X Family, JJBA Stone Ocean English Dub, Bastard, and Yugioh Go Rush, I have been keeping up with Chainsaw Man each week. A little disappointing that Gun Devil hasn’t shown up (even if only a silhouette, unless I missed it?), but I have been loving the series so far. I don’t mind the running gag of Denji wanting to touch someone’s boobs or now wanting to kiss someone, I would hope we do get moments that continue emphasizing that he wants to beat the Devils so he can just have a normal life. I would have preferred the whole being in 2d, but I don’t entirely mind the CGI at points for Chainsaw Devil form. I still dig the design.

Lupin III The Return of Pycal - Outside of some weird CGI placed scenes like when Lupin and Jigen are being chased by a boulder, this was a damn good OVA. The way it was animated (for the most part), and it's tone, really made it feel like it came directly out of Part 1, which was really nice. The opening sequence might be my favorite intro to a Lupin movie/special right now as the whole clown act was beautifully done, especially in the house of mirrors. The soundtrack also rocked. If I really have anything to complain about, it is how abrupt the ending kind of was. Beyond that, this was another solid as hell Lupin adventure.

Chainsaw Man is fully worthy of some :bay  though the 3dcg isn’t quite fitting in place yet. I think they’re on a pretty good clip so far. I just want to see
    -Darkness devil sequence
    -Kobeni DDR
    -he just like me fr
    -Aki’s last fight

Lupin III The Secret of the Twilight Gem - This was an enjoyable special with some great animation. However, it drags on a little bit and the plot was quite predictable. I don't know why, but I went into this one with higher expectations than I probably should have. The soundtrack kicked all kinds of ass, though.

Lupin III The Columbus Files - Not my favorite Lupin special, but it might be the most hilarious one I have watched thus far. There were a lot of scenes that were just comic gold such as those revolving around an old boat that Goemon talks to and it responds, then he hits it to get it to start moving after it stalls, a moment when Jigen thinks he is trying to kiss him, and a scene where Zenigata tells Lupin he has no side characters to help him only for Jigen and Goemon to appear and call him a side character too. The plot was a bit predictable between the father and daughter, who was trying pull off his best Blofeld impersonation. The best part was the sidekick villain who has voiced several characters in various Sentai series. The soundtrack was awesome.

Lupin III Missed By A Dollar - This was a really damn good special! The killer soundtrack enhanced it! It wasn't like your typical Lupin story in the way it played out, which worked in its favor. The main villain was a nice change of pace, especially since they were defeated by capitalism instead of some big action set piece. I also have to hand it to the crew for being able to balance the comedy and drama in this one far better than The Columbus Files had.

Oh, that does remind me, why are the English titles so different from the Japanese ones? Like the Japanese title displayed was The $1 Wars, but the title on the cover art is Missed By A Dollar? Why not just put the proper title on the box art instead of the Funimation title? Speaking of which, the vintage credits of this one really showcased how terrible the Funimation dub was as the dialog had completely different context from what was actually said in Japanese. So not only are the Funimation voices terrible for the characters (especially Fujiko), but they couldn't even get the damn script right. WOW!
