    One piece rt score--critic 100! Aud 95!

One Piece Film Red - Rotten Tomatoes

Funny when a live movie or disney animated film gets a 100 score it's a huge deal and makes hollywood news but when an anime gets one no one gives a crap.

    That's stats, bro.

A Disney/Pixar film has mass appeal. They draw reviewers from all angles, many who aren't pre-disposed to enjoying their fare. When they win over their skeptics, and can still obtain a 95%+ status after 300+ extremely diversified views, that's pretty damned notable.

Anime films still do not have mass appeal. The only people who go to anime movie screenings are anime enthusiasts and franchise fans, who are heavily biased and liable to score it well. Even if the film is legitimately good on its own merits, without franchise ties, that status in unlikely to gain wide traction due to that limited appeal.

Most of the ~100% scores on RT are extremely niche movies with only ~5 reviews or so, reviewed by enthusiasts only.

I watched the 1st episode of Kancolle and it was strange. I really forgot what happened.

One Piece Film Red pissed me off a lot. There were a lot of fantastic moments bogged down in mediocrity. It's easily my least favorite One Piece movie to date.

Also, what was the freaking point in having a singer be the English voice for Uta when they were just going to have the songs be in Japanese anyway? It was quite jarring.

Not interested in the One Piece movie, but next week the second SAO Progressive movie is coming here in Italy and I'm probably going to watch it.

Yeah, since it's been a while and I only remember little bits about the movie, I was waiting for it to finish up first then watch it with the 1st season.

Spy x Family was very cute this week. Anya looks so funny when she is smug.

Started S2 of Rising of the Shield Hero.

My expectations were already low based on the critical reception, but ugh, this is shit.

Zero momentum carrying over from the first season (as expected), and is just in full "Random Bullshit GO!" mode. Spirit Tortoise? Really? Could not have asked for a blander plot setup on top of already bland characters.

Pretty clear the author had no clue where the hell they were going after they expended the series' one semi-interesting gimmick.

Of all things, I've been watching "Yu-Gi-Oh: Arc-V" after just giving it a try a month ago. Didn't expect to stay watching, but I just like this protagonist Yuya a lot. He has this very teenage passionate outlook on what's right and wrong that I like from younger people in real life, and find him oddly relatable. I already caught wind it doesn't finish nearly as strong as it starts, but looks like I'm in for the long haul as I begin the final third of the series.

I finished Lycoris Recoil and I'm proud to say Gunslinger Girl is the superior franchise.
