G1 Prime his Alt-Mode is a 1980's Semi with Trailer.

 

I think the best alt-Mode for Optimus is a coherent topic.

 

That's a tough one. Megatron's gone through several alt modes over different incarnation, but Prime has stayed pretty much a truck throughout.

I'm torn between his G1 and Galaxy Force incarnations...though Star Convoy's a pretty bad mofo, too.

 

A tractor trailer whose standard cargo trailer has been replaced with a caged animal transport ... inside you'd see an ape leaning against Rover.

 

A modernized tractor trailer is the base form for Prime. A fire truck is acceptable also since it seemed to work well for the RID Prime.

 

Basicaly anything that's big, hard hitting, has wheels and is posibly fast.

 

I would like to see him as a M985 HEMITT with Patriot system.

 

I've always liked him as a Firetruck. I'm sorta biased because RID was my "G1", but other than that, it gives his alt-mode some use imo.

 

A jet plane. C'mon Hasbro, shake it up a bit, we can take chang--eh...forget I said anything.

 

For Prime, hopefully something that rolls and polutes. A giant cannon would be nice, too.

Primal, something that likes bananas and scratches itself. Again, a cannon, preferably a giant one, would rock.


I'm content as long as it follows those guidelines.

Oh, this is much tougher than the Megatron thread.

I LOVE the idea of Prime being a fire engine like in RID. Big and powerful, a great heroic symbol, and I can easily see many of the fire engines life saving equipment (fire hoses, ladder) being converted to offensive weapons like they were. It made perfect sense. Now, I'd take a page out of the Spychanger and Titanium versions of the figure ans skip the smaller robot mode altogether, though...

HOWEVER... I love gorillas, and Primal just somehow made perfect sense with the alt mode.

I just don't know!!!!

Really I'd go with either fire truck or Cybertronian truck.
Both are awesome to me.

but that's if we are not talking about Primal.

 

Prime should always be a John Deer Tractor in John Deer colors.

Semi or Fire Truck for Prime.

Munky for Primal.

 

Basically, any kind of big, pre-dominantly red truck would probably fit Optimus Prime, since that generally is what he's been in most continuities. Although with a fire truck, we've at least been given some measure of explanation as to where the rear section of the vehicle goes when he transforms into a robot (even though I ain't a big fan of Super Modes myself).

 

I wouldn't mind a tank Prime.
