Seems as though everyone has forgotten about him. He is the most responsible for the plot of TF3 and yet he doesn't seem to be getting any heat. All fingers point at Bay, and we know its not a one man job.
We don't even know the plot for TF3 no one has seen the movie yet, so i dont know what people are blaming people for.
because of the writer's strike, Bay had no choice but to input his "touches" to the script in order to move the production forward.
Exactly, some of which were good. Like Demolishor. Brilliant design from the worlds largest excavator, to this huge single Transformer. The Twins - We all have our opinions. Other things like giveing a Transformer balls for comic relief was just stupid.. Seriously though, what if we waited three more months or so for Revenge of the Fallen, maybe it would have been extremly better by who knows how much...?
I'm sure we'll be hearing about Kruger very soon this year, if not, eary next year. Right now everything is very early in stage.
I think people forget that writers are at the bottom of the Hollywood food chain. You could have the most brilliant script ever written and producers can come in and yea you know what we need to change this. The director can come in and say yea this part isn't working for me I'm cutting it out. With a film like Transformers Hasbro can dip their hand into your script. Just so many people with more pull than a writer that good scripts can be ripped up and there is little to nothing the writer can do. Plus it's still a little early to say what the Ehren Kruger effect will be on the films. He's got a horror background so perhaps he can bring a bit of seriousness and tension to the films. Just too tough to call his work good or bad when all we really have is some pictures from the set and robot heads that an artist designs not the writer.
As said blaming anyone for anything at this point is silly. However, when the time comes or in reference to the past two movies all blame lies with Bay. The reason being is Bay negotiates his movies to have creative control and final cut approval. He is the final decision on what gets in the movie. So the ultimate burden of quality is his. The road goes both ways though and I praise him for all the good aspects of the movies as well
Don't just blame on the writer. Blame on producers and director too. They're the one who greenlight a horrible script.
My main point was for ROTF and the lack of faith for TF3. ROTF plot was weak to begin with. It was not all Bay. Likewise with TF3, Bay is getting all the attention
