Sweet potato pie, which was served with homemade whipped cream

 

I love pie.

 

This is a chicken fajita / southwest pot pie. grilled onions & bell pepper, grilled butternut squash mashed, charred corn and black beans and various spices. Leftovers were good topped with crema.

 

I made Pizza! (Well, my Mother made the crust cause I can't bake.)

Its the consistency of very watery and thin syrup. I sure hope that's the gelling point.   They didn't say. We're preparing its boiling bath.

Sweetened and spiced up the quince mash and I'm using some of it to make pancakes with eggs and sausage.

The jelly needs 24 hrs.

My family went to a Korean market, where they had these little guys for $5 a pound. We got 2 pounds of them, but since they are small, we also had Gomtang (a Korean oxtail soup)

 

God’s own cheesesteak. Shaved ribeye, sage sharp cheddar, a bourbon-maple-chili-mustard mayo, a fried duck egg (my wife discovered this week that one of her patients keeps ducks, so we’ve now got a supply line for fresh ones), and a toasted croissant. Incredibly satisfying sandwich.
