I know, all they seem to do is do repaints. I mean I can't wait to see the Universe repaints like Smokescreen, Bluestreak, Red Alert, etc., but this is getting out of hand with the movie repaints.
Right now it only seems to link to a bigger version of the thumbnail. Really wish this one was getting a domestic release, or at least Black Arcee. Will have to settle for a less expensive piece like Black Arcee instead (but at least, that means one Allspark for me).
Cost effective wise it's the best thing they can do. It costs a LOT to alter a mold. Also, if I remember correctly, Hasbro can only use these molds for so long based on their contracts with the Vehicle companies. It lends to reason that Tak/Tomy might be under the same restraints.
She`s fantastic and I will get one if I can. This mold is by far my favorite from the movie toys. Of course I want an Animated, Classics or even a Masterpiece Arcee. So I might be a bit biased.
I am curious how this mold has not been destroyed after all the times it has been used? Man how many Arcee Motorcycle repaints is there!!!
I think so far it's: American Release Arcee Japanese Release Arcee Battle Damage Arcee Black Arcee G1 WFW Arcee I could be wrong though. Backstop, are you thinking of the Scout sized one? I think that's been used 8 times now.
lol....ya I was thinking the scout one, but these damm motorcycles just wont stop! I like bikes but why is Arcee always one?
For a slender robot mode without resorting to a skinny chick inside a shellformer vehicle like Cybertron Thunderblast and Titanium Arcee were.
IMO it looks fantastic, but I already liked the mold. I wish I could find it for a "decent" price. -airfox
Considering that she didn't appear in the movie, I'll never understand why we didn't just get her in pink.
^ so we'll buy her pink repaint. Theyll goof it up on purpose, so they can paint it again as a premium. They've already earned a good grand for the purple bike, now they can extend it's use
The original Arcee was based on the conceptual drawings for the movie, when she was still intended to be a character. And none of the movie characters were replicas of their G1 forms, so she wouldn't have been G1 pink and white anyway. Hardly screwing up intentionally just to make money off of repaints.
I still kind of want it. I know I won't be able to afford it, but i actually would like one of these.
darn i need to save a ton of money for this so ill probaly never have it. oh well great repaint and a good review.
