Hi! First off, hands down, the inspiration from this figure came from a work Jin Saotome did while back. I was thinking of WFC customs I could work up, and remembered this guy he did, which seemed like a good choice. There's some small differences, such as the head, being Astrotrain. Started out with a Star Wars Transformer Turbo Tank. All sorts of different paint was used, from spray auto to TMMA. The gun belonged to Energon Rodimus, and since we all have random guns lying about, I thought I try to brush gunmetal and silver over the clear orange. Lots of fun, thanks for your time!
This fits the WFC style perfectly. Personally, I would like to see a bit more red and blue in larger panels of the alt mode as the white is still a bit overpowering, IMO. Robot mode is near-perfect, though. Great job! How does it measure up, scale-wise, with the other WFC figures?
looks great man, thought i had seen a custom like this before, good job at giving props when due.I like how he is so white in alt mode.
That is cool. I think the white in alt mode is a little bit overpowering maybe paint the back end with a little bit of blue and red, something similar to Magnus's trailer.
Ha I was about to do the same thing, I've had him done for about 2 years just haven't gotten around to painting the glowy bits. Excellent job!
With the paint you put down on him, I almost thought you had started with a Titanium figure, and went from there. That shows how realistic you got it to look. Really well done for your own custom. What I do like is that the blue and red don't show until the bot mode.
This fits perfectly because Magnus is usually taller than Prime. Great job. I always thought a turbo tank would be a good base.
That's a great bash. What I like is that while it is inspired by Jin's Ultra Magnus, it still has it's own look. I actually like this one better, due to the head choice. Slick work, hombre. Yeah, he handle that now.
i love this ultra magnus is amazing such a good characther to do molds of as he often seems to be left out of modern toy lines but well done he looks great
