WFC numbers suggest there's either a Battlemaster or Micromaster unaccounted for in w3. The lack of any any W3 Battlemaster set preorders suggests the former, the number of unrevealed Micromasters suggets the later:

I was actually shocked we didn't get Apeface and Snapdragon in Titans Return. The precedents were there for them. Voyager scaled, triple-changers, even including one who had beast and vehicle alt modes (Alpha Trion).

I absolutely loved Titans Return, and it was easily my favorite line up until Siege. Titans Return's only failures were the absences of the rest of the Rebirth Headmasters and Targetmasters...I mean we got Trypticon instead of Scorponok! I've predicted it before, but my gut has been telling me that we will be seeing more of these in the second line of WFC. Scorponok is the last major Titan we need and would fit the theme perfectly.

 

I'd assume Apeface and Snapdragon make up a wave.

Also, if they're doubling back on Prime Wars compatibility I'd almost guarantee that Seacons are coming.

This is fantastic news, a new Snapdragon would have been better but if they’re doing Apeface then his partner is pretty likely to follow.

I’m really glad that it seems like Siege will be running longer than 4 waves, I wonder if early reception to the new direction impacted that.

 

Tossing my hat into the Snapdragon ring as well. He was one of my favorite G1 toys as a kid. A triple-changing Headmaster that changes into a dragon? Yes please. Apeface would also be welcome,as I could always use another gorilla. Plus he could hold his TR counterpart as a gun. There aren't too many Generations characters who can shoot people with themselves aside from Brawn and Flywheels.

 

Ayy! I am totally down for Apeface and Snapdragon! I'm pretty happy with the way lines are structured now. I don't really pick up much from the first 2 waves as they do the big name characters, but later in the year I get to look forward to the weirder stuff!

Edit: Also, all the speculation on SIEGE's length being short like PoTP, where did that come from? I had always assumed that PoTP was cut short to prepare for SIEGE not that it would be the new wave length, and that SIEGE would be a longer wave like CW and TR. Were people thinking otherwise?

 

Same here. I've enjoyed the 84-86 updates and some are certainly more needed than others, but if they reduced those by half and started giving available slots to more first-time updates I'd be even happier. I don't require childhood nostalgia to want them. That they looked cool and experimental and wild in vintage guides and the brief bios on the toys and Dreamwave guides are enough.

Through the decoding website we can tell what remaining numbers out of the main 51 belong to Micromasters/battlematsers. (the smaller size classes numbers aren't on the decoding website) We also can tell what numbers on the site belong to what faction.

I've had this hope for a while: kind of like a Micromaster slot is getting taken by cassettes to coincide with Soundwave's release, maybe when Headmasters are due out we can get new Titan Master sets under the Battle Master umbrella. No, I will NOT give up on getting that cancelled Toraizer.

Exactly this! You could do one deluxe ‘Ark’ Autobot a wave & over the course of the 3 year ‘War for Cybertron’ line still get through them all.

I’m hopeful that’s what they’re doing now, & if Apeface (and I’m assuming Snapdragon soon enough) is now getting a release lined up, hopefully that means we can get full bodies of Siren, Hosehead, Nightbeat, Horribull, Fangry & Squeezeplay too! I’m already feeling more excited where this line is going!

Finally. I'm still chafing at the fact Titans Return had triple changing headmasters and yet somehow they didnt do the only actual triple changing headmasters from G1 proper.

 

Hopefully sometime soon. If they did more Battlemasters next year to take care of the weapons and maybe tied that in with the Autobot Targetmasters as Deluxe....
