We'd probably be getting a "clean" Soundwave under the 35th banner if it weren't for the Walmart reissue coming up. We probably will see a clean 35th Siege Starscream eventually, hopefully they decide to tone the "damage" WAY down on Thundercracker and Skywarp, since those probably won't get redone.

Unfortunetly the pee stains on Thundercracker are just as noticable as the massive poo splatters on Starscream.

These boys look fucking tight. Bomb ass sculpt. Yellow visor soundwave is epic. And starscream has a waist swivel which instantly makes him one of the best seeker molds to date.

Thundercracker: Hey Starcream, wanna go roll in some cyber-poo together?
Starscream: Sure thing, but for extra challenge lets try to replicate our cyber-poo patterns, and see if anyone notices

There's a WEALTH of scribed detail on these molds that the splatter weathering is not bringing out at all. I can fix this easily but I would've preferred the weathering to be subtly applied to the panel lines and weathered in the direction of airflow instead of paint splatters.

Basically what was done on Hasbro's Walmart exclusive MP03 Starscream but more subtle. It's a missed opportunity because there's all this detailed scribing that you don't see because instead we get battle damage paint splatter instead of actual weathering.

Holding onto hope for the 35th anniv releases. Cell shading isn't really my thing, but it's lightyears better than the messy splatters the regulars have.

    Beh !

That weathering looks like gunmetal scale modeling paint. Of course with those flash photography pics, it's gonna accentuate the weathering and it's gonna drown out the sculpted detail because
the plastic bounces light differently than paint ( in fact, it absorbes the light to limited extent. )

Brunt and the Micromasters are fine, I agree these ones are too greebly.

I think the new greeble aesthetic is a way to reduce the KO production....I do wonder how Siege KOs would be like.

Thundercracker do seems better. I want Skywarp repaint, I wonder if the kibble would look less bad. I am still disappointed that it's just really lazy half-made shellformer.

I think it's to make them look more space-y and hide the fact that most of their vehicle modes can barely pass as Cybertronian modes.

It's true I would prefer them without the surface detailing and the mud splashes, but they look pretty good and characterful and I'm looking forward to my pre-order a little bit more now.
