Ordered one on EBay, he will be my first weaponizer. Depending on how much I'll like him I might also buy Cog, Brunt and Fasttrack. Fun fact: I actually don't have Siege figures to weaponize, so either I'll use him with TR Fortress Maximus or I'll have to buy some.
So I received my Sixgun and started playing with him. Robot mode is very cool, I love how reminiscent of the original toy is despite all the new tricks he has. Vehicle mode also looks fine and it's a nice addition to the figure. I don't have other suitable Siege figures to weaponize, but I tried to use him to add firepower to Fortress Maximus' base mode and thanks to the fact that the latter has lots of 5mm screwholes, it works perfectly and was a lot of fun. This is making me appreciate much more the city bots base modes and that's a problem because I don't have much space to display them. In the end, I can say my first experience with weaponizers is positive, only nitpick is that Sixgun cannot become a big gun for the titans, but that would have been asking too much for a deluxe figure.
Well I got him a couple days ago and....well.... I am not gonna say its bad...I am not gonna say its not good either....I am just gonna say its a couple steps away from been perfect...And that ircs me more from been bad....yeah I am like that... What I dont like: --His headsculpt. Again its not bad, but: If you see the thief in the night and you make the comparison, you will see that Cog has the correct Sixgun headsculpt.... Sixguns headsculpt looks like he is Firstaid --The fact that I cant attach his black weapons to his side shoulder pegs, something that I consider a signature of him. --The fact that I cant make (or I havent found a way at least) at least a f###huge rifle for Metroplex...That was his purpose right? What I like: --Havent found if I can use him as anything alongside my Utopia (because right now its stored away in a different house), but I do have a feeling that the robot mode sits nicely along side him. --Everything else that already has been told, so I wont repeat it. You guys did a great job highlighting its pros. --What I am indifferent about: The altmode....meh....Might as well have omitted this if they could find a way for him to integrate better with Metroplex IMHO. I still consider Cog and Brunt to be the superiors in this trio, for the sole purpose of been what they are supposed to: Compliments to their respective City Bots and integrate more.... functionally? As a side note I WOULD buy him again. He is fun after all.
They probably were going for toy-accuracy instead of toon accuracy, as the Siege headsculpt is almost the same as the one from the toy, albeit more proportioned and with a white faceplate... As seen in this photo by BWTF I do agree though, the designers should have at least incorporated something, even if it was a sculpted design element, that Titan Metroplex could hold on to as a handle and that the option to become 'plex's 2 big handguns was incorporated into the design. jya na!
Ι spent the last two days and I found a couple ways that would have made him more 'accurate' to his function as metroplexes weapons. First of all I cant Understand why Sideswipes mold-guns, cant attach themselves properly to the leg-guns? Secondly I cant understand why the black guns dont have slots on the side to stick em to his pegs on the shoulders.... His legs ARE virtually Metroplexes antimatter cannons (albeit very short, hence why need the sideswipe guns to attach)... Furhermore, why the connection pegs, on the legs are positioned as such as to prevent them forming a bouble barreled cannon? I could go on an on and on about completely minor adjustments that would have made the figure perfection. Anyway, sorry for ranting. Now that I have the time I am going to mold new guns out of the existing ones and make the modifications myself I suppose.
Nice pics! How did you get Sixgun to attach to Metroplex in city mode? I just bought Sixgun on sale. Was there any other attempts here to attach him into Metroplex's city as like a tower or battle station mode in any meaningful fashion? Thx
