Hey guys, is it possible for siege sideswipe to swap heads with the universe/henkei deluxe?
I still really like my henkei sideswipe but not the weird helmet :/

I feel like it'd look comically huge if it did fit.

Huge? i was thinking if anything it'd be small??? but really, the main issue is probably i not fitting into the chest cavity for transformation.

I opened my first tonight and wondered the same thing. I wonder if a light application of Future inside the abdomen slot would help.

I was able to fix the abdomen on mine by applying some 5 second fix on the tabs on either side of the main tab, NOT on the main tab itself. If you look close it kinda clamps around the waist port rather than directly into it, there are actually three tabs that lock it down.

Are they making Red Alert from this? Because I'm on the fence as for getting this, I'm happy with the Universe mold with the GoW add on. I like the look fo this, it's very MP-like. But Henkei Sunstreaker is so boss I'd rather not break up the pair.

bought a bunch of siege figures and sideswipe really exemplifies how i think hasbro has responded to our complaints that the toys were starting to feel cheap and hollow. the new stuff may be slightly smaller but they feel more solid/hefty.

Was not happy with how every Sideswipe I found on the shelf had his faction symbol off center. So I removed it completely and added a repro label.

This guy might be my favorite delixe of wave 1, which surprised me because he's such a basic carformer. He doesn't do anything clever like Hound does and there's no fun gimmick like Cog. But he might be the platonic ideal of this kind of straightforward carformer. He's super tight. There's no gaps in bot or car mode. Everything feels premium. He's 100% covered in paint. Everything moves exactly as much as it needs to to get him from robot to car and back again without fluff or filligree. His futurisic Lambo mode looks amazing. He's like the Transformers equivalent of a really well make steak and potatoes. Super basic, but classic when done right.

This takes the MP and distills it to its ultimate refined form. Even the loss of a real Countach form isn’t much of a loss as it creates a freedom in the artistic and mechanical execution. 4.5 stars ⭐️ out of 5.

This is great figure. So many of my complaints with the old figure - stupid knee parts that get out of place, awful fiddly shoulders, poor feet & ankles, annoying arm panels - all completely gone in the Siege figure.

Now we get a Transformers toy that more than almost any other I've had before, handles like a nice action figure. It poses easily and confidently, without having to worry about it being a complex piece of origami. It's so fun to play with!

If you're on the fence, get it!

I have very tiny stress marks on my Sideswipe's legs right where the legs tab together for both robot and car mode. It's probably cause my figure's connectors there are really tight. But I'm just posting a warning here to be aware if your Sideswipe's legs when transforming back and forth are tight.

Be mindful that the legs don't tab together, they hook. So you have to unhook them carefully, not just yank and pull them apart.

Not the tab I was referring. The tabs that you open on his legs to push his feet in and swing around to turn into car mode. Those tabs.

Love both these posts. I feel like we talk a lot about scale and how a character looks but rarely the aspects you draw out - how intuitively a figure poses and transforms, how it feels to pose in hand.

Having said that, I’m a bit on the fence about this guy - partly as he’s chunkier than my ‘ideal’ sideswipe, but also as I wonder if the transformation is a bit too simple for my preferences maybe? I think of how much I’ve enjoyed the actual transforming of figures like dx9 war in pocket Skywarp, or magic square inferno, which hit a sweet spot for me. Though I definitely am not interested in anything over-complicated.

it's too bad they retooled him to have all those weird purple glowy parts. could've been a great toy otherwise.

Do you have by any chance MP Prowl or Tracks to compare him against?
