Probably got costed out by budget, as it looks like the majority of his transparent parts are gang-moulded in the same clear amber colour.
More different colours of plastic equals less parts to be cast together equals more money to produce.

Just got the big bad bot today   ... Only had a chance to mess around so far with the minicon and man is he ever a fun little addition! ... Excited to try some base mode action this weekend.

Soooo his blast effect parts... While I sort of like them, I feel they don't have as much of an impact as, say, Jetfire's effect parts. And in fact I use one of his if I'm trying to simulate OS's arm cannon fire.

Also, the entire stack of his effect parts sags horribly, or at least my copy's does.

A small gripe, comparitively. Eventually I will pop his head open and color his light piping over with a blue sharpy methinks. Different color and it doesn't block the light.

 

Same thing happened to me, but it doesn't really seem to be a problem. Everything still ratchets just fine.

 

Anybody brave enough to paint the visor orange to homage his Dreamwave appearance (and possibly other media)? I’m not fond of the headsculpt, so I’m curious how that will change his look.

 

I'm not, but I am the odd fan who prefers the toy heads to the toon heads in almost every instance, including this one. I'd love to see this guy with the "faceless" helmet like the G1, perhaps with light up feature like the original.

 

Has anyone customized or molded their Omegas besides minor stuff? Has anyone moded or cuatomeized him into G1 Rocket Base or into Omega Sentinel?

First impressions: One of the better Titan class figures. The transformation is simple enough that the instructions are adequate. Everything seems to be working so far.



Outside of the lens this amount of background looks like it will work.
