Picked up the Hasbro Pulse exclusive G2 Megatron and notice he had a very familiar looking helmet layout. So a quick paint job later and here we have Miner Megatron. The paint job is trying to keep with the Siege theme of batter and beaten bots, so if he looks a little messy/scratched up I swear it's intentional. Also to complete the look he's been given Straxus' pickaxe.
Nice. I did the same paint scheme on a bashed CHUG deluxe Meg's a couple years back. Had a similar issue getting the yellow and black "hazard" paint clean. Ended up going over it a few months back with a ultra fine sharpie. Worked pretty good.
Awesome execution. Really would not be surprised if one similar to yours came out down the road as an exclusive. You did too good a job for Hasbro to not notice the money making potential.
I think you should probably go to jail for taking pictures of a Miner and putting them on the internet is what I think.
That's awesome. I would have bought that if this was the reuse of the mold. Only thing I would say is to maybe add some yellow on the canon/drill. In tank mode it seems like it could use a little variation.
I love him. Megatron has such a dull design and you really gave him some flair while staying true to one of his origins.
