Wanted to do a custom of this character ever since I saw the design in Sins of the Wreckers, and the Siege Mirage mode seemed like a good fit. For those who haven't read the comic, Mesothulas is the name and design Tarantulas had before having his little spider episode. The custom itself is made from the Mirage mold, along with a modified Shapeways head for IDW Pyro.
I tend to dislike this Mirage mold because I hate fake parts, but GOTDANG does that look PERFECT. I had originally thought that Mesothulas turned into a motorcycle as an homage to his transmetal form, but upon going back and checking-- yep, he's got little wheelies on his feet, meaning I can 100% accept him in this mode. It even carries the same general shape as the transmetal vehicle. A++ would look at again.
Good work, he definitely looks the part. Makes you wonder how things would of turned out if they hadn't taken Springer to be away from him. I do like those suits Impactor and Prowl wear I wouldn't mind making a custom of one of those

In the IDW comics, Mesothulas was Tarantulas' name before he got all leggy. He worked with Prowl during the war to secretly do things to the Decepticons that would make Megatron look like a saint. Also he's Springer 's mom?
