the green plastic on the thighs has turned into a more olive shade
i was gonna get motormaster but i might just dip out of mainline transformers for now until this crap is resolved, I don't want to waste my money on toys that don't even last a year

Right now, the only figure I'm experiencing yellowing is Cyclonus, and part of that has to do with me displaying him in front of a window with decent sun exposure, something I also did with my RiD '01 Prowl, who has it the worst as a result.

Presently, the yellowing isn't too noticeable, but I was thinking of painting it to match the silver paint on the toy (or at least try to) anyways. I'm sure others have tried that, but I want to know how well it will work.

I put all my figures that might be turning yellow in one main box, since I dont have the room or shelf space for them,so far so good,no yellowing and it gives me a chance to keep checking them, but this is disappointing to say the least.

I saw a few pics of the Generations Artfire going yellow and I thought about picking him up,but now Im not sure? Hows everyone else's looking so far?

I dunno if this is a good or bad thing, but some of the yellowing looks like it's their natural plastic color, so uninformed people could buy it thinking it's a new repaint variation or whatever, only to find it's actually a defect.

If I just saw that I'd prob think it was normal and typical hasbro using some parts where the plastic is that actual color and others where its painted on where its all supposed to be the same color, but clearly isn't if you look hard enough. Didn't that happen with the most recent Sunstreaker figure where the parts were in diff shades of yellow so it was clear the whole toy wasn't all cast in the same shade if you looked hard enough.

I just must be extremely lucky with my figures or maybe sunlight plays a major role in this yellowing issue. I live in Oregon so its by no means an extremely humid place, and my room is always dark from natural sunlight as I have blackout curtains in my room as I wouldn't be able to see my tv at all if the curtains were open in the day time. A lot of my transformeres are stored in containers or these drawers I have on my night stand things by my bed so they're really not exposed to any kind of light. Atleast from what I can tell from the reported figures, no sign of any yellowing on mine.

Some of them yellowed even without direct contact from sunlight, so no, sunlight is not the factor.

However, I myself (Asia), didn't have any yellowing issue so far, so maybe the chemical itself react to I dunno, humidity? Hot? Cold? Oily hand? Sweat? The empty wallet they smell everytime you take home a new one?

The temperature here goes from 25 c to 30 c, I keep him in a dark room with blackout curtains

edit: I don't know if my eyes are tricking me or the lightning of the pics does not help lol but I see it a bit darker in the hips than before

Honestly I don’t see much of a difference, say for the lighting between the two pictures. That said, the hip panels have always been a different shade of white than the surrounding plastic. Don’t think this is yellowing.

Is that definitely yellowing on Cyclonus, he never really had a good paint match to the plastic IIRC?

Yeah that seems to be how he normally looks. Plastic was never silver. The yellowing on him would be far more noticeable if present.
