Nothing reported here and I’m sure the early birds from BBTS/Target/Walmart would have said something if that was the case.

Yes, the joints and hinges are yellowing. Is it bad? No, and with the exception of the left hip your copy looks like mine.

Same spots as any other yellowing seeker; anywhere there's that softer plastic used for joints. It's a lot more noticeable in-person, im dreading it getting worse like SG Screamer

Well, that sucks. Add another figure to the list.

Do you have many other figures yellowing?

I have a professionaly controlled climate.
Yellowing is Not environmental it’s the plastic. Environment can escalate the process. Scientific analysis. My son and I both own Earthrise Megatron and live in different states. Mine has slight yellowing in a controlled environment. He smokes, vapes and runs his A/C constantly (likes it cold). His has severe yellowing to the point it looks gross.
Something in the chemical composition of the plastic is going through a chemical change. The question is… does the process affect the structural integrity of the plastic. If it’s just cosmetic then it’s not an issue. They are toys meant to be opened and played with. It is kinda cool even. If the plastic gets brittle everyone is going to be PISSED. Hasbro played the long game. WFC, legacy, sS86 and beyond they haven’t finished the g1 set yet. If your toy falls to shit before you even finish the collection It is Un Acceptable.

Agree 100%. The base issue is an issue with the plastic formulation itself that gives all these figures the potential to yellow, but when exposed to whatever environmental accelerator/X-factor is when shit turns bad. It doesn't yet appear that the structural integrity of the yellowing plastic itself is compromised, but time will tell.

I own most of the possibly affected figures, but only SG Starscream is yellowing at all in my collection. My SG Starscream is barely yellowing, and has not progressed or gotten worse since I got him. I only recently realized that he's also the only possibly affected figure I bought secondhand, so who knows what kind of different environmental factors it could have been exposed to prior to my purchasing it.

FWIW, I vape and the figures are exposed to sunlight daily. Yet the only figure that has yellowed is SG Starscream and only slightly on the wing hinges.

I've had some pretty bad yellowing, though not as bad some of the jaundiced specimens I've seen here. My figures are kept either in storage or in a room that goes no direct sunlight, and I don't smoke, though I do have cats (this is the first I'm hearing that pet ownership has anything to do with the issue, I don't understand how it could TBH).

The victims in my collection, in order of most to least yellowing:
    1. Takara Siege Soundblaster (the Mercenary faction release)
    2. Cyberverse Hammerbyte
    3. Kingdom Tigatron
    4. Netflix Nemesis Prime
    5. Netflix Megatron
    6. Kingdom Rhinox
    7. Buzzworthy Bumblebee Dinobot
    8. Legacy Jhiaxus
    9. Premium Finish Starscream

Of these, only the first four are particularly bad. Soundblaster was a real disappointment since I paid a lot for him, but Tigatron is the worst looking due to how much the dirty-looking yellow clashes with the white. Jhiaxus and Starscream is barely noticeable. Dinobot was practically yellowing in package, but its not too noticeable and hasn't really gotten any worse.

I have a sealed Tigatron that I bought to replace the yellowing one and so far it has yet to suffer the same fate. I am leaving him sealed until I re-do my Beast Wars display, but once I open him I will share the the production code.

I also picked up SG Soundwave from the recent Pulse sale and the white plastic is pristine, so I'm hoping I lucked out there.

My kingdom ultra Magnus. The solid white Optimus. Is as pristine as the day I bought him.
I wonder what a UV light would do the yellowing.
Maybe it’s organic in nature. Might kill it?

Question: were there any updates on the buzzworthy dinobot and the whole yellowing sittuation? Was there ever a new batch or something that didn't get affected? The store I use has him on a pretty decent sale but at the same time this is holding me from pulling the trigger

My best advice at this point is if you have other figures that are yellowing, I'd hold off on buying any copies of figures known to yellow.

they yellow before you buy them, it’s not related to the environment where our collections are.

My best advice at this point is to hold off on buying any Hasbro toys until they announce and prove they've solved the problem.
