The difference is so faint as well. I would never have noticed if I didn't read about it here.

I found 6 Jhiaxus at Walmart this AM. All six had the faint greenish tint to the hip pieces. I'm convinced this is normal for the figure.

 

Yeah. My favorite theory on the yellowing is that something leaked into the air on the cargo ship or in the factory town where they were assembled and was seeping into the packages that were closer to the edges of the container\pallet\whatever. Bitterants, coolant, petroleum residues, chlorinating compounds, whatever. It could explain why only part of the lot is affected and why we can't otherwise seem to find anything in common in the households where it's a big problem.

 

In terms of yellowing, Gen Selects Artfire is the only toy I have that's displayed any (in the usual parts).

Siege Soundwave, Netflix Megatron and Nemesis Prime, Kingdom Cyclonus and Legacy Jhiaxus all fine. At least so far (touch wood).

The Siege and Netflix toys were bought second-hand, so it's not like they haven't changed environment, either. Nemesis Prime came from France to the UK, doesn't seem to have bothered him...

That's fine, that colour difference is just how he looks.

 

Add my origins bee to the list of lost souls to the yellowing epidemic, those darker parts started out lighter than the painted ones. You can also see one of them has yellowed more than the other.

 

I think that's just the color of that particular molded part.

 

I've had the exact same thing happen to my BB. There's another user who has it far worse than both yours, and mine. You're not seeing things, and it is definitely changing. I have another copy I picked up cheap, and I am observing it to see if it changes as well. That said, this figure does come with mismatched plastic, but the phenomena of color changing is definitely happening to yours.

Sorry about another of my paranoia post's, has anyone checked their kingdom Red Alerts shoulders? I've been checking My Red Alert every now and then and the last time I checked his shoulder looked slightly. There's a high chance it's just mismatched plastic, but I just want to be sure.

You know things are bad when even the YELLOW toys are yellowing.

My Tigatron now looks like he spend a decade in coffee grounds and cigarette butts.

 

Tigatron seems to be one of the worst offenders.

 

Is it bad to sell off a toy that's yellowing?

 

As long as it's disclosed in the sale, I don't see a problem with it if someone wants to pay for it and they know what they're getting.

 

I'm lowkey questioning my morals...

 

Taking pictures of yellowing and letting a potential buyer know — good!

Using stock photos or hiding yellowing parts in photography — bad!

 

Well I must be a good person because before I even had this conversation I did let someone know. They didn't even give a shit which shocked me honestly.

Maybe we should start posting where the general area you live, average temp, humidity, what type of lighting, ect

So maybe we can figure out some kind of common reason for the accelerated yellowing.

As the only figure I have with a hint of it is ss jazz on the shoulders l. Not even my tigertron which I got pre-owned is having issues.

 

Damn, I was so excited when that mold was announced. What a shame.

Now, we even lost the joke “oh no, my yellow Bumblebee is yellow” or “oh no, my yellow Cheetor is yellow”. They are affected by the yellowing issue too. Well it was funny while it last.

 

Metalhawk looks like a candidate for this, using the cyclonus mold and white parts where cyclonus yellowed

 

OK so I bought that Cyclonus that I posted earlier for $20. Gonna take some pics tomorrow and post the badge number. Hopefully it'll be fine
