Damn, afraid to check out my Skywarp, Thundercracker and Blaster:eek:

Meanwhile, after taking a pic to show Cyclonus’ hip sections, I only then noticed that his elbows and fists have turned too…

Looks like the purple hinges on yours have started turning too. Keep an eye on it. It goes grey eventually A39B887C-8531-47DD-8E99-0E1993E3E55A.jpeg 4B1EE32F-7616-4A49-AA3C-7A00D72B6AF4.jpeg

The way those hinge pieces "yellow" is so strange to me. Like they just bleach out all the pigment and leave grey pieces behind. Super bizarre...

Damn yo! Mine is fine. All mine figures have no yellowing except slightly on SG Starscream. IDK what I'm doing right lol.

Same here. And none of us knows why the hell this is happening, which only compounds the frustration. I fully sympathize with other folks whose figures have been affected, but I'm also over here like, "don't know what y'all are doing but my figures are fine..."

Yoooo, that’s fuct. I just checked and they are on the way indeed. Those exact hinge pieces you highlighted are like a light, pukey lavender. Probably be gray by next week at this rate.

That's bizarre. I knew the purple hinges are prone to discoloring, but turning straight-up gray is an end result I've never seen before.

Just looked at my Cyclonus. Yep, turning straight up grey on all those parts as in the pics.

40 years of toys, i've seen all manner of age-related, temperature-related, light-related degradation. This is a new one for me. I've never seen the colour pigment just straight up bleach out of of figure, especially one that's kept in a dark windowless room.

only kinda half joking here, but is this getting anywhere near a class-action kind of thing?

I've also heard about the new DnD figures joints shearing off straight out of the box because they are using some weird plastic.

I certainly don't know the true in-and-outs of all this stuff, but I'd be willing to bet that Hasbro could use their boilerplate "items may appear differently than in pictures" language may be able to be used as a defense against any legal action. I also find it highly doubtful that any attorney would take the case on simply because beyond some grumpy fans, the yellowing (thus far) doesn't affect the integrity of the toy.

Keep checking this thread to see if there is anything on Leo Prime. I want him, but he looks like a prime candidate for yellowing.

Probably for most copies, but it seems like some of the ones with issues developed pretty quickly.
