A-ronhide

So I want to turn SIEGE Ironhide into the A-Team van and therefore name him A-ronhide. I think his alt mode suits it and the colorscheme will look great on the figure. I'll use my "Supermode" Ironhide for this custom.

He'll get some new wheels from PotP Novastar as soon as my second one arrives and a rear spoiler and cannons from Bot Shots Ironhide's trailer/launcher.

With the colorscheme and arm cannons he will be a bit of a crossover between G1/original Ironhide and the Bayverse version.

Man, that video takes me back. Can't wait to see what you do with this, I love your crossover customs. I'm really hoping for an earth rise Ironhide that's more G1 accurate. Such potential.

Whoops! I confused you with the guy who did the Scooby-doo crossover and Ghostbusters crossover. My bad. Love your customs though. Your Impactor is one of my favorites

Will A-ronhide have Mr. T's mohawk/head?

If you are happy with your finished A-ronhide, you really might consider doing a Whirl as that crazy fool Murdock.

That's why I put Ironhide's head on Crosshairs' body (and because I already started turning Ironhide's body into Impactor. And the colors of Crossharis work better as the base for the A-Team van anyway). So he will have the mohawk but neither a beard nor necklesses. That's a bit too cheesy to me and chains might scratch the paintjob. He'll still be Ironhide but with a twist.
So physically/moldwise the figure will stay as is except of the wheels.

 

My cheesiness detector may be broken, but maybe you could wrap the (gold) chains around his arm instead, like DC's Lobo?

 

I'll think about those chains. Maybe something practical will come to my mind. Maybe some weapon integration.

 

I was gonna do the same thing with Crosshairs if I could found one cheap before I got laid off here recently. I was gonna do an Airwolf Spinister, B.A. Crosshairs., and KITT Sideswipe. Was even thinking of a t30s chromia into like Street Hawk or whatever that lame motorbile series was called.

Hit a bead shop or hobby lobby that sells stuff for making jewelry. I've used it a couple times with luck.

 

I pity you, fool, if you don't make this for him. Just because it'd be fun.

Its going to look awesome. That RoC Cobra van would make a killer Ateam van but it's GI Joe.
In case you ever wanted to make the characters and have something for them to drive.

 

But as I'm thinking more about it, all of them are primarily glossy black. They would make a great team. Maybe even add Thunder in Paradise made out of Cybertron Thunderblast.
But I'd use Studio Series #45 Drift (helicopter mode) for Airwolf.

 

I was actually thinking SS Dropkick...LOL Finally something to do with his janky mold.   And they are cheap. Yeah most all were black. Hadnt thought of Thunder...that would be an interesting build...and I wish there were more boat Transformers.

 

Yea, I have an SS #22 Dropkick, too, I wanted to make a custom out of but he's too small for what I planned, otherwise the mold would have been perfect. I'll turn him into a Spinhead inspired Dropkick now.
