Salutations everyone! As part two of my "Veterans of the Cybertron wars" series, I give you; War for Cybertron Red Alert. If only they had continued this series, I'm sure he would eventually been made, so this is my rendition. This guy took quite a bit of grinding and cutting. First to go was his horrendous faux headlights on his chest so I removed them completely to reveal his cybertronian wheels through his chest for enhanced detail. Gave him a single headlight/sensor array as I wanted him to have a more utilitarian look and less in common with an earth vehicle which is also why he no longer has side view mirrors or even proper windows. The windows have a three tier paintjob so up close you can see more detail when the lights shine through. His door panels are now larger and extended about half an inch for a more solid look. Extended the front wheel arches on the so you can see the detail in the suspension which I thought was cool that they added. Added a light inside the roof and an emergency highway bar that attaches to the rear engine cover which can be raised or lowered. Made the roof completely transparent so the led lights can really shine through. The lights can change between white and green. Made a logo with Cybertronian glyphs indicating his role from security to fire control and defense with a ghosted imprint behind the letters Grinded down his inner shoulders so its far easier to transform him as well as gave him a slimmer look with removable hood plates (bonnet) which reveal his plasma blades. And I gave him a new face and tried to make him look younger and more brash, always calling in false alarms or investigating things that don't concern him. That's our Red Alert! So what does everyone think?
You put in a lot of work on this guy. Very creative! What did use for the roof and fender flares that didn't effect his transformation?
Wow thanks everyone! The fenders were just carved out of his normal body and his roof was tough. I literally sanded all the paint off until the plastic was clear again. then I sanded and polished the clear plastic. Lastly I gave it several clear coats which make the plastic even more transparent and shiny!
Hey thanks man, this guy actually took a couple months to get everything fitting. The mods I put in on his doors added so much weight they had to be hollowed out first, then I had to rebuild his face, build a nose and fashion the highway bar out of some Apache Ah64 missle pods. I might have to work on voyagers from now on as this guy was tough!
Would you believe me if I said I thought the thumbnail picture was an actual car? Because that's how great this is.
Thank you!! I used to have an old Ridge Racer poster from Japan with that same lighting so I used that for inspiration =)
I forgot to include this picture, weird thing is is that something weird showed up to the left of the shot. No idea what that thing to the top left is but its creeping me out! There isn't anything like that around here
Right on! That's actually what inspired it! I know a lot of people don't like the red head but I dig em =)
