We've heard a couple times that an 'animated movie prequel depicting the war on Cybertron and its outbreak' has been in the works under the working title 'Transformers One'.

We know that BB marked a soft reboot for the TF movies and that its sequels will probably keep on leaning in the 'G1-esque' direction that contributed to BB1's overall success. Several Siege toys are fair depictions of their BB counterparts including Optimus, Starscream, Ravage, Ironhide, Ratchet, and to a lesser extent the Rainmaker 3PK, Soundwave, and Shockwave.

Now we know about the new WFC cartoon coming out with a 6 episode pilot season next year that's supposed to depict, let's see here, 'the war on Cybertron and its outbreak'.

    It makes me go hmmmm.

Is there any likelihood that the 'Transformers One' project 'transformed' into the Netflix WFC project to serve as a Bee-verse prequel instead?

If something along the lines of this did happen, I'm willing to bet that it's actually changed from movieverse to just a series that accompanies the WFC toyline, not the other way around as you suggest, as Hasbro has stated fairly clearly that WFC the animated series is meant to compliment WFC the toyline.
