Scorponok is at least still a good (if flawed) toys, imho.

Rhinox is just plain unfun due to his transformation sequence especially in his feet clashing with everything inside, you felt like you're gonna tear it everytime you move it.

 

Came here just to say this. Tried that several times and watched it in slow motion. Paused. Still, awful.

If it works so well for you, maybe you can post pics that more directly show the correct angles back and forth? Your info can potentially save people's toys.

 

Here's the thing, the author of this video does understand what to do with this, and hopefully they'll take the advice and post a video from a different angle, but photos alone might not cover it because the part is designed to move at an exceptionally specific point in the transformation, not one step before or after can be missed. Here's my photo from my review back in June, and while it shows part, it doesn't show the context which is incredibly important:

Anyway, I tried to make one for you guys just now, it's pretty terrible....don't expect to use it to help you or anything. lol

It's merely to show you that transforming the legs is not an impossible feat.

Here's one leg:

 

Solved what to do about his tiny guns. I just took them apart and superglued them onto Thrilling 30 Rhinox's weapons. They look good, don't interfere with the spinning gimmick, and now it's fully blast effects compatible .

 

Got the Toyhax Labels in. Didn’t put them all on (cuz I suck at stickers) but they definitely help add some detail! I liked the toy before unlike many, to be fair.

 

Originally passed on this, but picked it up today at target cause it was 8.99 lol. One question: Has anyone figured out how to get the two panels that fold in to create the majority of the top of the alt to sit totally flush? I can get them about as good as emgo does in his review for reference.

Read through some of this thread but didn't find anything. I like the figure though; I just prefer clean looking alt modes.

 

Alright I’ve gotten two of this figure and both have misaligned pins for the rhino head. Is it really that common of an issue or am I just unlucky. Much like the rhino heads, I am tilted

 

Way late to the game...I know. I have a back log of figures to get through.

Wow. This figure is awful to transform. I seriously want to know if someone from Hasbro actually took a product sample and a copy of the instructions and gave it to a child. Then watched the child successfully transform the thing. I'm 43. I wanted to throw it. Those back legs were horrible. Both modes are fine on their own once you get them there but, the transformation.....that transformation...blows.

 

Wh...why would you do that?

As with Kingdom Waspinator, I really don't understand all of the hate towards Kingdom Rhinox.

Sure he's not as screen accurate as he should be. Sure the chain guns aren't as big (size matters!) as they should be.

The guns are more than fine.

This is a really nice looking, fun figure that has really good articulation and is just flat-out fun to mess with.

And you know what, it may not be perfect but it does a really good job of pulling off the look of the character especially in a group Beast Wars/Maximals display and also especially if you don't already have a figure of Rhinox in your collection.

I'd give this figure a solid C+ or B-.

 

I think Kingdom Rhinox is an ok figure, it really would have benefited from being a leader class, filling in the gaps, adding mass and heft, more paint apps, better head, bigger guns etc but as it is, it is still a serviceable Rhinox.

 

I wanna like this figure but it's the biggest piece of cow manuer shit I've had in a while. I've never wanted to stomp the crap outta a toy so bad. Why is this thing so hard to transform??? I hope the new ROTB one blows this one out of the water.

 

This figure is easy to transform when you just follow some basic steps or watch Emgo videos.

Rhino mode is bad because it is just a brick and the silhouette+color are just boring compared to T30.

Robot mode is good just need the bulkiness of the T30 version to standout just a bit.

Weapons are so weak compared to those included with T30.

 

Looks good but you ruined thrilling 30 weapons and now they can't combine and store in the superior thrilling 30 figure.

Why not just give kingdom those weapons instead of modifying them?

 

They're not ruined. They work perfectly. And they're more colorful. Plus, I don't want them combined and stored in the floppy thrilling 30 figure. I gave that to my little nephew. He loves it.

Because now they can spin and can have the blast effects. Double the power.
