IIRC doesn't Tricranius not actually count as "Generations Selects", similar to Centurion Drone? They're in a similar style of box, but don't actually have Gen Selects branding or a GS number.

I guess I should have said "Generations Selects-esque". By this, I mean, "based upon the original mold, just changed in color, slightly retooled, or both."

As Centurion Drone and Tricranius are based upon Siege Brunt and Kingdom Ractonite, I call them "Generations Selects-esque" figures.

 

I'm wondering if they've simply not been added to the system, yet. So far, they've only been listed on Amazon AU, not Amazon US and we don't know how far out we are from their release.

 

What are the Golden disk parings and...are they coming with discs or something

 

They were both given mainline numbers despite coming in a Selects-style box.
Centrurion was WFC-E33
Tricranius was WFC-K39

We don't know anything about these other than the names and maybe some loose price estimates.

I'm guessing, based on the thread they posted in, that Dinobot Snarl means the Golden Disk Tigatron might have the mutant head.

 

Possible, but I still kind of doubt it. I think the current rumors are a possible transmetal Tigatron homage from the pulsecon Ravage or orange Tigatron from the voyager

 

But is that the case for the Golden Disc version that Dinobot Snarl is talking about? It would be interesting if it was orange and had the mutant mask head. Not everyone's cup of tea, Dinobot Snarl for instance, but it would be interesting none the less to me.

 

Could also be transmetal Tigatron from Ravage or an orange repaint of the voyager with no new head. I think if they were to give him the mutant head they'd give him a new name

 

I will be surprised if it isn't orange Tigatron. While Covert Agent Ravage looks cool, the best mode doesn't do it for me, especially if it has to represent a Transmetal. It is just too organic for Transmetal Tigatron. That said, I'm open minded about it. Honestly they could go several different ways here. Least like is Cheetor Deluxe with either head but it would honestly homage the original toy concept better. Someone, can't remember who but someone in the know, said Hasbro wasn't done with the Covert Agent Ravage character and specifically said the mold as if to say it may be used again but not as Ravage so there is that too. Honestly I don't expect we will know until September at the earliest with maybe some leaks or November for a reveal.

 

If they can do that, I can see Buzzsaw in the future or wave 5.

That supports Transmetal Tigertron.

 

I mean, it doesn't. Because Ravage never assumed a beast mode and would never have been exposed to the Transmetal wave. If they repaint it as Botcon Tigatron it works just as well.

And then when they inevitably finish off the retool and produce the Transmetal Cheetor we all saw coming when we saw Kingdom Cheetor...it'll be an actual Transmetal cheetah.

 

Technically, if Ravage came through the same transwarp portal as Depth Charge, he could have been exposed, we just didn't see it.
