As a teenager who probably hasn’t mentally matured past the age of 4, I can confirm this as well.
So, just saw the box-art for SS86 Gnaw and Hasbro have got me again.
And I don't even particularly like Gnaw
The new mold looks great, blows the old one out of the water (pun intended).
Better sculpt, deco, articulation.
He even has a gun!
We're getting pretty spoilt next year
No more shark arms on the bot mode feet?
I also just saw the instructions for Kingdom Rodimus and whooo-eee does he have a lot going on!
Flame exhaust effects that can attach to his car or trailer exhaust pipes.
Sweet looking sword.
Extremely long rifle. (Blast effects compatible)
Blast effects for twin trailer cannons that can be used as additional rocket tailpipe effects.
Matrix blast effect to light our darkest hour.
Trailer has a ramp, looks like you can remove gun tower and put a legend/micromaster car in there.
Trailer has a tray you can remove that store blast effects etc.
Hot dang he's got play value that's through the roof!
i just need to know if we have listings transmetals characters and rampage?
Dang I was trying not to buy this and now I haven't even seen it and I want it
Rodimus sounds cool, but will probably wait for the inevitable Primus Selects from Takara.
Gonna be a pricey ‘voyager + extra’s’.
No. Plan for 2021 at least seems to be to stick to characters from season 1 only.
A subline seems unlikely, but maybe a battlepack or three like those 86 anniversary sets w/Generations figures a few years ago (Hot Rod + 2 Junkions; Galvatron vs Rodimus; UM, Springer, etc). Blaster vs Grimlock, Ratchet + Megatron, Soundwave + some bizarrely deco-ed deployers . . . I'd buy most of them
kinda odd how Hasbro is doing that i mean we're getting season 2 characters from g1 in kingdom why not beast wars? the only thing we're getting that's from season 2 or 3 is trans-mutate
It's really not that odd. Most of the new designs for season 2 and 3 were new versions of existing characters (with a few exceptions like Rampage and Depth Charge and the fuzors). For the most part, releasing Transmetals alongside season 1 designs would be like releasing Siege (cybertronian mode) and Earthrise (earth mode) Prowl in the same line.
Gonna be worth it.
personally, i doubt that Hasbro or Takara are ever gonna do a Selects from a Commander Class
I imagine because they have a full slate of characters as it is. We already know all the new molds being used for Kingdom even if we haven't seen them yet. They are trying to juggle the rest of G1, 86 characters not in the movie line, and Beast Wars.
Some other thoughts:
The modes the main characters were best remembered for were their S1 Beast Modes.
Season 1 was twice as long as the other seasons (26 eps vs 13eps). Therefore most of the S1 characters appeared in a lot more episodes than those that joined in later seasons. Rampage joined late in S1, and Depth Charge in S3. Tigerhawk joined near the end of the show.
They might want a clear aesthetic line between the traditional TF's and the BW characters. The Transmetals would confuse that issue. It might also explain the absence of the Fuzors, who would represent an oddity in the line.
Lastly, there is a rumor (that I cannot verify) that the Beast Wars toys were supposed to get their own line to commemorate the anniversary of S1 of the show, while the 86 movie bots were supposed to be the final chapter of WFC. The two were flipped, perhaps to keep the SS series afloat after the next TF film was delayed.
Sounds cool, do you have any idea how many SS86 waves there might be? Apart from Dinobots unless they're redoing guys from Siege there doesnt seem like a lot of choices for SS86.
So is it a multipack of three Sharkticons or is it only one?
I would imagine one like the Alicon.
Gonna be ordering at least three myself.
It's one deluxe Gnaw, theres been no indication of a multipack
