I was playing as a leader in team deathmatch and I noticed I had the cloaking ability, I thought I had gotten it because I had just unlocked prime mode until I got all this hate mail calling me a hacker and cheater, has this happened to anyone else ?
The game has lots of glitches. Earlier I randomly used this Shockwave ability which affected like the whole map. Then I lost connection.
Getting the abilities switched randomly seems to be a bug in the game. I've seen it happen when matches are hosted with a poorly connected host. Also under certain circumstances: like editing a profile while the game launches. Apparently that can force your highlighted ability to whatever profile you choose. Chances are the next time you play it will be fine.
I recommend checking that character profile to ensure the ability is not stuck on your Leader. This will reduce your hatemail in the future I'm sure.
Why would you do that ? Do you know how many of those cheaters me and my friends encounter everyday ? It is ruining the balance and purpose of classes.
people cheat because they are not good enough with just their skills alone to compete. If you have to take advantage of a glitch to win, your cheating.
Dude that is MAJOR BS. People like YOU have ruined online multiplayer. Gears of War 2 got so bad with glitching Jackasses that that my wife and I simply stopped playing.
Dear god, I hate cheaters. Though there's obviously a difference between a one-time glitch and assholes who keep ruining match after match with rapid fire weapon spam hacks (multiple simultaneous blasts from a fusion cannon? Suuuure!), nigh-impenetrable overshields (hint: headshots still work) or ridiculously lethal weapons (killing an opponent from the other end of the map with three hits from a neutron assault rifle? The hell?), usually ending the game with 30+ kills and 2-3 KOs maximum.

That isn't the point. Hacking in any form is wrong. Encouraging other people to cheat makes the game unfair for the rest of us. Why would you encourage something that is down right unfair? I am 2nd place in ROTF Autobots and did I get there from cheating? No. The only way to truly get better is to practice and understand everything you can about a game. Then you will be a better player.
I DIDN'T HACK! were talking about WFC not ROTF WFC has tuns of glitches! like I said I don't need them! I do practice, I do understand the game. I'm not trying to be a top player! I only play 1 hour a day!
Well before you said that you use the 'glitches' to win, and because you get a kick out of annoying people. And, how old are you? 1 hour a day is quite a lot.
Hack, use glitches, it dosen't matter. It is still cheating in my book. Especially when it goes against the rules of the game.
Where did I say I use them to win? yes I win with them but that's not why I use it. and how is my age relevent?
Because you act like a 12 year old. And why else would you use a glitch to your advantage? So you can lose? No, I certainly don't think so. You also win with the use of them. It's like a professional sprinter. They may be amazingly quick, but they take steroids to enhance this and win. Same thing. Compared to other people. Yes. The sad people who feel the need to beat someone on a video game. I play for fun, not to be the best on some leaderboard.
