Finally found these guys today. Opened them up and transformed them a few times with no issues. No QC problems at all.not sure if it's a new batch or whatever, but they're basically perfect. The number on the box is 01121.

Found them 2 weeks ago no QC issues for me. I warmed up to this mold after liking the Siege versions more due to better bot mode. I will have to get other 3 coneheads of course. I did go all in on the tetra jets and its a little to soon to go all in again...maybe. Anyways a great set here and a nice addition for earthrise. Now where is Sunstorm,and Bitstream to compete the welcoming committee ? You can skip Nacelle

 

I haven’t decided whether I’ll use TC or not because I love the Siege version. I definitely want those versions floating around at least.

 

Also batch 01081 and also had problems with TC's wing. I shaved the inner circle but did not put a notch in. It rotates now without popping off but there's still a tiny gap. May go back later and put the notch in.

Also had the problem with SW's crotch mis-aligning when it's flipped up but since that's only briefly done during transformation and I would have never noticed in others had not pointed it out I have not bothered trying the swap-the-crotch to see if it fixes it.

 

I haven’t opened TC yet but my batch was a number I haven’t seen before: 01641.
Skywarp joints are incredibly tight.

it is but hard to find. Try Target.com during your region’s early morning to grab one, but they sell out fast (like within minutes).

 

I'm curious...what are these slots for? They have nothing to do with transformation or pegging anything in....

 

Got mine delivered yesterday - perfect QC for both. The mold suits these two even better than it did Starscream.

 

Is it used on the conehead re mold possibly? Mine wont be here until sunday so I cant check...

 

Coronation cape? Just taking a wild guess

 

That very well could be it. Prob a coronation exclusive in the near future

 

FINALLY found this set. The set was stamped #01711 on the back of the box. Haven't had time to transform them, but I'm not seeing any QC issues on either figure, thus far.

UPDATE: Transformed both Skywarp and Thundercracker back and forth, twice a piece. Other than the upper chest being a bit scary, to navigate, I ran into no issues whatsoever.

 

I got mine shipped from Target today, also batch 01641. Thundercracker has a tiny bit of silver on his blue fuselage, right behind the cockpit. Otherwise, both transform fine with no issues.

 

Found mine at a TRU in Ontario. Got them for 20% off to boot.

no QC issues, very tight and they look awesome.

 

You can't imagine my disappointment when TC's wing fell off during transformation. A near perfect vision of a modern G1 Seeker, but it would always be marred by that flaw.

You have my thanks then (you and others on these boards), for figuring out how to remedy HasTak's flaws once again. And now Thundercracker can join his brethren in the sky once more, without fear of falling apart mid-flight!
