It just occurred to me while watching the new IMAX teaser for TLK.

The Last Knight isn't a Cybertronian... it's Anthony Hopkins character.

Think about it... we've seen images of him in the movie in Knight armour and in the teaser, there's a shot of him using a cane at Stonehenge.

    Thoughts?

I don't know when he is in knight armor, but I do think it's a possibilty he could be the last knight. Good thinking :)

Never saw him in knight armour and didn't see him at no Stonehenge at what point exactly (time in the teaser)did you see those? And if you're right....I'm going with rom and Anthony Hopkins is him. He's been all over the IDW transformers comics this year.

Also could explain the motion capture person we have seen on set, she seemed to have lots of strength in the scenes Michael Bay streamed. Any idea if she is a similar height to Anthony Hopkins

So now the Titular character of a Transformers film is not, in fact, a goddamn transformer?

    *slow clap*

The sad part is I totally could believe this because the films are never going to drop the humans-first methodology due to the CGI and basically being nothing but Transformers hamfisted into being litterally the illuminati except they forgot they were the illuminati. I just don't understand the appeal to seeing a Transformers film where the stories are only about how Transformers relates to humans instead of just Transformers alone. That shit bores me to tears.

So true. It seems like a robotized version of that one Tomb Raider flick, except the robots are the icing on the cake instead of the damn cake-and once again (while I'm not surprised), the sole damn selling point is the visuals vs. the actual storytelling itself. . .

Even more skeptical: I may just actually decide to sit this one out and catch it on video later. Pretty shots, explosions, and billions in box office profits alone, do not a good movie make. . .

You're both jumping the gun on pure speculation. We don't know if Anothy Hopkins will be the Last Knight or not, heck we barely got a grasp of the plot at this point. I wouldn't toss in the towel just quite yet.

I'm not jumping the gun on the whole overemphasis on visuals vs. storytelling aspect, though . .This featurette doesn't do much for me. . .And the blatant bait-and-switch bull$!#% (stating a trailer has been classified and released on YouTube today, when it's actually a featurette that is more of a showreel for the capabilities of IMAX as opposed to the capabilities of the writer's room)adds insult to injury IMO. . .I could be wrong and hope I am. . .
