So I'm looking for more info on the three japanese anime TF shows. In the US you had marvel productions doing the main writing of the TV show, a lot of those names I am already familiar with, and it's easy to easy to see what other works they have done (like 20+ years of writing / editing comics, TV animation etc for some writers). So for the Japanese shows, are there any writers, showrunners, etc who were significant across those three shows, and anyone at all that was (or is now) significant for having contributed to other Anime shows, Manga etc. As I don't know the names of anyone involved offhand in those shows, I just have the bare bones info onTFwiki and wikipedia, which is not much at all. Any help much appreciated!
Here are the Anime News Network links for all three shows: Transformers: The Headmasters (TV) - Anime News Network Transformers: Super God Masterforce (TV) - Anime News Network Transformers: Victory (TV) - Anime News Network You can scroll down and click on staff members' names, which will take you to their page, showing everything they are known to have worked on (and in what capacity). As for being significant, I guess it depends on your criteria. Most of them were kind of journeymen, working on whatever projects the studio that employed them happened to be working on. That brought some of them to work on significant properties, but I don't know that you could consider them the creative driving forces behind those properties.
I am now watching the complete Masterforce series finally - I'm at episode 35 now Really good show. However, I am still of opinion that - like all of the Japanese Transformers series - the background music and ambient sounds, don't punctuate the scenes and tension arcs as well as the American Sunbow TF series did. The plot and animation are more coherent than the Sunbow toon by a large margin.
