agreed.the guy who did the animated soundwave was just bad.he did a great job on every other character he voiced on tfa but not for soundwave.
So not true. While most lines have been recorded for some time, they are all done by non-name-talent (no desrepet meant... the guy who did Bumblebee's voice in TF1 did all of the lines in the first too and I believe hearing the same for the 2nd - but he didn't get the credit...). Then, like any sound effect, it is re-recorded by the star actor/ess for the final cut. This can be done up to 2 weeks before a premier. BTW, This would be a very cool move.
That would be great, and it just seems "right" to me, since isn't Soundwave like the ONLY G1 character to be in the first episode to survive the war without dieing and/or getting reformatted?
WTF moment number 1. He sounded just like Prime. When he spoke, everyone said "thats Optimus." Yep. No diss on ole Hugo, but the voice was so generic that to me, it didnt fit the character. Megatron deserves a memorable voice, and there's nothing memorable about it. WTF moment number 2. There's at least one in every thread. What a nutbag comment. Take some Valium and calm the hell down. WTF moment number 3. Bruce Willis?!!? As Prime?!?! "Yippie Ki Yay Decepticon Motherf&%*ers!" Bruce Willis as Ironhide? Now THAT would totally work.
this is the best news ive heard on voice acting since i found out that Peter Cullen would be voicing Optimus.
I posted this bit here http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/trans...518-interview-frank-welker-7.html#post3383960 Just sayin'. Even when I did get something posted on the front page, I never got a news credit for it, so this falls in line with that.
Prime SOUNDED like Prime, but he didn't TALK like ANY Prime ever. Not remotely wise or fatherly, like EVERY SINGLE PRIME BEFORE HIM. Hugo as Megatron didn't really matter, since you couldn't tell it WAS Hugo aside from the "Is it fear that drives you" line. They modulated his voice to such an extreme (you can see Hugo's actual performance on the DVD... he is talking normally!). They could have Hanna Montana be Megatron and get the same results. Bruce Willis? HECK NO! Larry the Cable Guy for Iron Hide. If we are gonna post stupidity, let's do it right! I have to disagree. I liked the sing-song monotone of TF:A Soundwave. It made sense, since he is SOUNDwave and had a MUSIC related alt-mode (tricked-out stereo crossover). G1 Soundwave made me grumble, only since I wanted him to slam his fist on the table, scaring Ravage, and yell, "I'll get you, Autobots!" Oh well. Doesn
I find it hilarious that just as with the last film, at 4 months to release. they claim to STILL not have even cast some of the Titular characters. It's like giving the Transformers themselves voices is just an afterthought in this movie. What do they expect to just hash together random noises and say it's a Transformer speaking?....Oh wait...Oh god they did!
