    Mr Orci...

Looking at some recent images from a TF:ROTF set it appears to me that Shia's hand injury has been written into the script rather than CGI'D/framed out of the movie.

Does this mean that some scenes will have to be reshot as they fall later on in the movie than the current scenes?

Thanks for taking the time to look in on here in what must be a busy schedule atm.

i seriously doubt itd be something Bay would be happy with [on the fat chance that it would fly]

Judging by his commentary on the first movie, its not that he doesnt like Welker's voice or lacks any respect for what he does and the enormous talent that he is. its just that Welker's Megatron voice does not fit what Bay envisions for this particular Megatron. Not that G1 Megs' voice wasnt as "iconic" or "powerful." And Bay didnt want to make Welker do a new Megatron voice because well, what would be the point of hiring him if he's not doing the original voice?

lump me with the "id rather you didnt" crowd as well

Weaving was perfectly fine for this incarnation of Megatron

Audition him for Soundwave. If he lands the part then more power to him but there's no need to re-cast megatron just cuz "sum fanz they tell me"

I'm on board with Frank for Megs. If Cullen did Prime a little deeper, then Frank can do Megs deeper. My problem with Hugo's Megs is that it merely a monster voice. There is no regal, personality or pizzazz to it. It is simply an evil villian voice.

If he does Megs a lil deeper, it'd be perfect. If you can't get Frank, Try and see if you could get Lenoard Nimoy to be Megs, his Galvatron from G1 is the perfect way to kick off a resurrected Megatron. Corey Burton would also be an excellent choice. In short, if youb guys can, try and get more TF voice actors!! Some of the guys you have (like CHarlie Adler) can give more insight and are a major part of Transformers history.

I just hope there's nothing stupid like "Halle Berry as Arcee!", when there are much more accomplished and experienced TF voice actors.

That actually brings up antother question of mine: Mr.Orci Do you know who's choice was it to have Jess Harnell voice Ironhide? He did an awesome job, I'm just wondering if you even considered having Peter Cullen voice him since he voiced Ironhide in G1 & you already have him voicing Prime.

That there describes Frank Welker's G1 Megatron voice.

He just sounds like a screechy old man.

I think you're overestimating how much they actually *care* about Transformers. It was just a job for them. I dare say Peter Cullen is (rightly) more proud of playing Eeyore than Prime, given Eeyore is from a classic, well-respected story, rather than a series of shakily-written toy commercials whose voice director caused the 1987 voice actor's strike and put him out of work for a while.

No, I just don't think that voice suits this Megatron, just as it doesn't suit any other version of Megatron other than G1/G2.

Last I checked, Movie Megatron is not G1 Megatron.

Weaving>Welker for Movie Megs, imo. Nothing against Welker as a voice actor, but his Megatron sounds as though he's about to dye of a heart attack or something. Weaving's rendition is much more suited to Movie Megs. Welker could voice Soundwave, or even the Fallen. Soundwave's voice will more than likely be so synthesized that ti won't matter who's voicing him, and the Fallen, if actually in the movie, would probably benefit from having an old scratchy voice.

I'm with you Natalie. Much as I like Welkers voice it doesn't suit the movie era. If we were to see any, i'd like to see David Kaye doing him, albeit with a deeper tone as well. I would like to see Soundwave done by Welker, or the voice to be manipulated so it's near identical to how he sounded in G1, as I think that SW's voice is about as iconic as his alt mode was.
