I've had fried alligator tail. It tastes like chicken in almost every way.

My list isn't as exotic as some of the rest of you but, there are a couple I thought I would never eat.

Frog legs- Fried. Kinda greasy. Tastes like chicken. Not bad.

Squid and fried calamari- The squid wasn't fried, it was in a seafood dish with scallops, crab, shrimp etc. in a lobster sauce, YUM. Calamari with marinara, nuff said.

Fish eggs- What kind, IDK. My sushi was rolled in them. Tiny, little orange ones. Make a neat little, POP, in your mouth. Again, yum.

    Smeltz- :yuck

Scrapple- For those that don't know, scrapple is anything left over from the pig, ANYTHING. Balls, lips, assholes the whole schabang, cooked and ground to a paste. It's ok for breakfast, sometimes. I don't go asking/ordering it, will occasionally eat it though.

Jorod, potted meat is some nasty shit dude:lol
Spam on the other hand is ok, along the lines of scrapple. I won't seek it out but, will eat it now and then. You should try the one with Hickory, that one is really good.

Weirdest thing I ever had was beef tongue, Dad fed it to the whole family when we were in Texas. All I can say is thank God I don't remember it.

That's one thing I don't think I could try. I dunno, I'll eat the meat of a cow, no problem, but the idea of cutting up and eating the balls makes me wince in sympathetic pain. I dunno.

I don't have quite the list some of y'all do, but I've tried a few odder things:

    Alligator, which was fantastic.

    Rattlesnake, also really good.

Goat meat. Love this shit. Love it. Had some Hatian goat with plantains the one time, it was just damn delicious.

Octopus, eels, squid, stuff like that. Interesting. Overall I was into it.

Some crazy Mexican dish a guy made for me the one time which basically was a gutted fish in a spicy broth. Head and such was still attached and all. He may have descaled it, I don't recall. Really good flavor, odd consistency.

Brains with Scrambled Eggs. Well, I was drunk, it was an all-night diner and I saw this on the menu. How was I not gonna try it? Didn't care for it, not much flavor, and the texture was just unappealing.

Maybe more weird shit, I forget. I'll pretty much try any food that isn't cottage cheese-related. A man's gotta have some standards.

Well, since I'm Chinese, I'm not sure what I can add to this thread that hasn't already been stated. A lot of food tastes really good to me, and I don't consider it weird at all. Sometimes I get annoyed when others think it's weird, but mostly I think it's kind of amusing. Off the top of my head, I enjoy:

Pork's blood. It tastes like pennies and tofu. Really delicious.

Chicken feet. It tastes kind of like jellyfish, actually.

Sea cucumber. So good. Unique texture.

Shark's fin soup. Can't afford it, though.

Pig intestine. In soups or stir-fried with spicy sauce, this is SO GOOD.

Cow stomach and tripe. Great in soup, great in pho.

Cow tongue. I have it sometimes, but I admit it's not my favorite cut of beef. When prepared just the right way, it's the most tender beef you could imagine. More tender than filet mignon. However, there's always the taste of saliva, which tastes like making out, and that's just weird to me.

Stinky tofu. My family has a rule, though, that you can't be the only person who eats stinky tofu at the table. E.g. if someone else doesn't want to eat it, then we won't order it, because it's not fair to have one person enjoy the tofu while everyone else smells it. Makes sense to me. I'm always impressed by how light the tofu tastes, compared to how it smells.

Pig's feet. Really, it tastes like very gelatinous pork. I prefer it marinated in soy sauce, served with thin noodles.

To my knowledge I've never had dog or cat. I'm a pretty avid meat-eater, but my meat-eating is somewhat Western influenced, and I admit it's an entirely subjective cultural thing, but I love dogs and cats as loveable companions, and I'd never knowingly eat their meat. Then again, I've been to China once, and to Taiwan numerous times, and it's entirely possible I've eaten dog or cat meat without knowing it. :(

Heh. Reminds me of a story a guy I used to work with told me the one time.

He'd been on a bomber in WWII, and at some point, and I forget if it was while their plane was stuck somewhere waiting for parts, or if it was some kind of survival exercise, or what the deal was, but dude ate a porcupine. He and his boys, they got hungry enough, could only find a porcupine, and thought "Fuck quills, let's eat this thing." That guy was awesome.

Oh, I want to try snake as well. I've always been really curious.
Deer isn't that interesting. It's okay. My grandpa is a hunter and we end up having deer a lot. So that might be why. :lol
But you REALLY need to try bear. I think that was my favorite. :p

    Anything on Bizzare Foods.

EDIT: Most Filipino foods disgust me even if I am Filipino.

I remember one of the residence halls in my college organized a barbeque and roast. They had a whole roast pig there, and it was mostly gone, save the feet, which nobody wanted. My friends and I made a beeline for the feet (trotters) and the guy serving the pork commended us on our taste :D .

I also want to add human parts. Seriously, I heard that one guy cut his finger, fried it and served it to a customer.
