Hi guys. Yesterday I bought this weird looking DotM deluxe (zombie) Topspin toy sealed. (retail, store bought. Sale item.) As you can see it has some different colors compared to the regular release. Most of his upper body is grey instead of blue with paint apps. Is this some kind of weird mix-up of parts? Can anyone shine a light on it? I'm curious. I've dubbed it zombie Topspin on the Dutch local Transformers board because of the grey torso and arms. It has the usual Hasbro TakaraTomy trademarks on the trunk lid. Can make a picture of that tomorrow with better lighting.
Uhhhh, I'm pretty sure that's normal. EDIT: Nevermind, I see you meant the head. Just looks like it's a factory error missing a minor paint app. Mine is the same except with a blue forehead.
Autobot Topspin - Transformers 3 Main Line - TFW2005 I think yours is just missing a bit of paint on the shoulders.
Also, the upper leg areas that connect to the hips should be blue, as well. On the normal Topspin, are those areas (the upper body and upper legs) normally just painted blue or are they actually blue plastic? I'm pretty sure they're blue plastic, right? If so, yeah that is pretty strange as there is no other Topspin that has that shade of grey for those parts (the Armor Topspin recolor features a much darker grey). MIKE engledogg
All parts you guys talk about which should be blue are molded grey plastic. Including the hinges on the backpack which connect the blue car gun sidepanel parts to the body and the upper leg parts. It's a really strange color combination. Mine isn't the only one, I read other members of the Dutch boards had the same grey figure.
