Eh, this song wasn't as good. It's okay, but not great. Also, remember how "Foil" made fun of conspiracy theorists? Well...
Oh well better come right out with it then im a Reptoid yep im a lizard man and i played the cowbell in that song.
I already posted that yesterday. Wraping up day 8 with Mission Statement. edit: I kinda like it. Sounds like some lame business meeting talk using lots and lots of buzzwords. Catchy tune. But not a song I will ever remember the words to.
Al was the last story on ABC World News Tonight. Diane Sawyer mispronounced his last name as 'Yankovich' instead of Yankovic, and they naturally brought up the Coolio story ("It's a minor moment of controversy from over 15 years ago! It's water under the bridge! Bring it up again!") Still, nice to see Al getting some legitimate recognition.
As an MBA student finishing up with my last class, this video pretty much sums up the last 6 years or so...ridiculous buzzwords, stringed together, to make it sound like you know what you're talking about. I'm so glad this is over. Ugh.
After over 30 years in the music business, you'd think there wouldn't be so many people getting his name wrong. So what was he on World News Tonight for? Did they just mention that he had a new album, or was there more to it?
I'm really lazy I haven't gotten around to listening to all of these songs? which one should I listen to first in order of best to meh.
Either Foil or Word Crimes first then the other, Tacky, Handy, Mission Statement, First World Problems Sports Song, then Lame Claim to fame.
Just a brief puff piece celebrating his longevity and the fact that this is probably his most successful release week yet. They had a brief interview with him as well, but nothing new.
It's official! "Weird Al" Yankovic has the first number one album of his career, beating out Jason Mraz and other contenders. Congratulations, Al! As for my listing of the album songs in order of favorites, I'd go... Word Crimes, Tacky, My Own Eyes, Foil, Lame Claim To Fame, NOW That's What I Call Polka, Sports Song, Inactive, First World Problems, Handy, Jackson Park Express, Mission Statement.
*sniff* I'm genuinely happy for Al. After decades of hard work, he has finally reached the pinnacle of the music industry. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
