What Wei Jiang legal situation? First I'm hearing of it.

 

Disney is after them because they made a knockoff of Hot Toys Iron Man

Even if you don't like Wei Jiang, you have to realise that this precedent makes it much easier for Hasbro to take down third party, original designs

 

Eh, it's not really drama, nor the first time someone's gone after Wei Jiang. China will raid some factories, the Iron Mans will disappear, and it'll be back to business as usual.

 

Apparently it was Transformers IP-infringement related. What KO Iron Man was Weijiang allegedly involved in producing?

I hope this is just like the last time they disappeared for a while, but it seems that they actually got arrested this time. If they were released, then maybe the KO OS MPM Ironhide can still be produced?

 

I'm guessing the Hoc Hoi one? It's the only one I could find

Like, I know Wei Jiang could seem pretty scummy in some people’s eyes, but if Wei Jiang will be taken down, what does that say for Unique Toys, DNA Design, or Toyworld?


Also, Black Apple Prime looks amazing.

 

Disney has made copyright infringement last for about 100 years, you know they'll see to it you don't touch their toys.

Apparently they may not be gone after all, which is confusing. Apparently posted today a few min ago, removed it, and then posted it under Viimee toys who make chibi style TF’s from black apple. They may live on under that brand.

 

I learned about that a few years back. Their lawyers lobbying have absolutely ruined intellectual property.

 

Not entirely true. While Weijiang is brand / factory of manufacturing the KO or OSKO retooled product from BA, but Vimee is mostly their original deisgn without retooling any of the current MPM or SS product from HasTak. It considered as 3P rather, therefore, the impact is not there yet
