I've been thinking for a while that it would be cool if we had a line of transformers who all had reasonable sized guns which lit up at the end and made sounds when fired. Kind of like Mechtech but drop the whole transforming gimmick, just 5mm pegged guns with lights and sounds built in. Like a normal toy laser gun, but scaled down to fit a voyager figure. Not sure how possible it would be as the main sound & light part would have to be at least 3cm x 1cm x 1cm to fit a speaker/buzzer and 2 batteries. But that could almost fit inside Evasion Prime's shotgun. What transformers weapons have their been that made sounds? I can think of Armada Jetfire's gun off the top of my head But that's a bit big even for a modern Voyager. Can anyone name any others?
Not really a gun as it's a part of him, but Energon Shockwave's arm cannon has sounds and missile action.
DotM Ultimate Optimus is another one, but his gun is HUGE. I like how the Death Star Darth Vader transformer has the lights and sounds in the actual bot, but the light shines through the lightsaber and makes lightsaber sounds if the lightsaber is plugged in or gun sounds if the gun is plugged in. I also like how the old G2 Laserods worked, with a little light that is connected to the robot mode (which has the batteries), but plugs into the fist to light up the sword.
Yeah I think those are the only examples of sounds in weapons. I guess sound is too bulky and power hungry for voyager class weapons.maybe they could make ones like laser rods which take the power fron the main bot
