Oh, so sensitive. I thought maybe you would be a female due to the little-girl-show in your avatar. 

 

Not sensitive, just saying, what does this have to do with anything? And nay (pun intended), but that was a fair assumption. It is a girls show after all  .

I....I don't even know. It's just so incredibly wonderful, I just don't know what to say! Words can't describe it  

 

I also felt it. If I was in Optimus's shoes I would've done the same thing. wiped out the entire Decepticon race

 

Yeah, I felt it too. He made a pretty little short speech then. Was a really uplifting moment.

 

I actualy thought that was one of the better scenes of the movie, specially the "We take the battle to THEM!"

 

That scene made sense to me. The Decepticons are straight-up murdering humans in Chicago with plans to enslave the rest of the human race. This is also a race Prime had sworn to protect, so he was likely in a righteous fury at the Decepticons and sometimes the simplest solution is the best solution.

 

I liked when Prime said this! It gave chills but for Optimus to say that...he has to be seriously pissed!!!

 

I hate this quote. It doesn't sound heroic at all. It makes him sound like a total pyschopath.

I thought it was awesome! But I felt it was a little mis-placed.

I think he should have said it after the whole "Now your leaders will understand . . . etc."

 

Considering the movie Cons had next to zero character development and were portrayed as nothing more the mindless insect-like drones bent solely on destruction, I had no problem whatsoever with Prime finally saying "we will kill them all" after three movies worth of witnessing that these things (Cons) just will not go away and will continue their carnage unless they're finally wiped out. To me, his phrase there was on par with how we'd talk about wiping out pests that cause nothing but havoc. Like ants... or terrorists   I mean, heroic leader or not, even Prime has his limits and can be pushed too far.

 

It worked though, admit it.

 

I thought it awesome that he said that!
It fit the scene well.

 

"We will kill them all." is easily one of my most favorite quotes from any movie, ever.

Along with his exchange with Megatron:

Megatron: "Besides, who would you be without me, Prime?"
Optimus: "Time to find out. *facemask comes down*"

 

This isn't the G1 cartoon, were Human are made of rubber and the death toll was 6 characters (besides Unicron and Starscream) and nobody else,AT ALL!
Thousands of humans and dozens of Autobots are brutally killed. These Decepticons aren't fooling around. If the 'Cons were like this in G1, Prime would have done the same.

 

"Megatron must be stopped. No matter the cost."

 

So trying to save an entire race's planet from being destroyed like his own planet doesn't sound heroic to you?

Showing anger after your mentor/father figure betrays you, your best friend and second in command is killed by said traitor, you get killed by your own brother, almost an entire city's population is wiped out by your enemy, those who you are trying to protect lie and deceive you, and the whole situation you are in seems bleak, THAT makes you seem like a psycopath???

If every hero stood back and thought up some convoluted and stupid plan to defeat their enemy without hurting them instead of killing the enemy who has nothing but hate in their hearts then nothing would get done. They would just be stuck in an infinite loop of "bad guy does something bad, good guy stops them" *motions toward G1*

I see nothing wrong with killing an enemy who is trying to kill you.

 

It's a war, get over it.
