George Lucas has been doing a pretty good job stumbling his way through canon.

 

The thing is half your list weren't even fans until they actually started working on their respective projects.

Ben Yee, Wyatt, and Isenberg all grew up with TF, sure.

But Weir, Forward, and Furman only got into it the moment they were actually MAKING IT. Heck, Weir and Forward were so casual in their transformers knowledge they couldn't pronounce "Teletraan" and didn't know what the Matrix was.

 

Have you ever watched a Transformers cartoon?

What?!? How did Wyatt "make us fans" by making a remake of a show we already liked? I don't even watch Wyatt's version.
And HOW did Ben Yee make any one a fan of Transformers? He has a website that reviews toys,and he contributed to a guidebook of Beast Wars characters. Those are both things you would only need/want if you were already a fan! Nothing against Yee,he seems like a cool guy from the limited contact we've had,but he certainly did not make me a fan,I found his website by googling for Transformers sites because.......I WAS A TRANSFORMER FAN!

Again,Wyatt's only been involved with the franchise for like 2 years,not 25.
Furman certainly hasn't been toiling away for 25 years,he comes and goes.
Ben Yee doesn't "help the franchise survive," he reviews action figures.

I thought Bay just filmed without a script and added the words in later.
Bring in animated's writers.
Good story + great characters = spectacular movie.
Sadly, hasbro only sees the $400 million for piecemeal approach.

Either way OP: Will never work. You'll find, especially in this fandom, no two fans will ever, EVER agree on ANYTHING 100%. Hell, in this fandom, most fans don't even agree when the G1 line died, and the hardcore ones don't recognize over 23 years of TF history.

And you expect those people to write a movie together, that almost all the old guard hates anyway?

 

Killing Ravage would be fine, even killing him with his bare hands. But pulling his entire frame inside-out with his bare hands, displaying physical strength that he certainly didn't have when brawling Barricade, that's special treatment by the writers.

 

Simon Furman, Marty Isenberg, and Bob Forward should write it. It would be EPIC.

 

So the 3ft. tall scout drone should have the same durability as a 20-foot sentient warrior robot?
