Sorry if I'm being a douche and making too many threads but I see these Marvel animated DVD's and I think why not Transformers.

Hasbro has to get off there can and start working on this. I'd love to see a an animated War Within or especially a Megatron origins (by the way, is this on trade yet, I'm in my late 20's w/ a family and long hours at work so I don't have much time to make it to the comic shop)

There are so many great Tranformers and Beastwars Stories and w/ transformers having a new life like this (the movie and the animated series) I'm sure the DVD's would sell enough copies to make it worth there time.

Well you could've skipped the AOL speak...but yeah, I'm getting the idea.

The problem is really that Marvel comics aren't a toy-based franchise. The toys for those are more of an extra, they're done primarily to please the fanbase and kids. However, with TFs, it's pretty much expected that there will be a toyline to back it up. Comics-based franchises also have like only ONE established continuity.

With TFs, it's usually the other way around with toys but no media to support it.

Not that I'm against the idea. I'd love to see some DTV animated TF movies, especially G1 ones...hell, imagine an animated version of "Legacy of Unicron".

I think that would be an awesome idea...I'm sure it will sell...put a few ads on cartoon network so that the general public will see it and I see that working

We need to start bugging for movies on the Hasbro site. As long as there is enough of us Demand will meet supply or is that supply will meet demand?

I dunno, but I do know from prior experiance as long as enough people ask/nay demand (and by demand I mean bitch) for somthing they usually get it. Especially if they are willing to spend money on it.

You won't see anything like what's suggested here until TFA is off the air. It would be considered in competition with their existing property unless it either ties into:

    A) TFA
    B) The live-action TF trilogy

I would very much like to see an animated prequel based on the novel that sets up the first live-action movie, like has been done for a few other films (Pitch Black, Van Helsing, etc), or an animated midquel that sets up the next live-action sequel. With TFs popularity now and as hype builds for the next movie, my gut instinct tells me that might actually happen.
